Chandigarh 28th July:- Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management,
Catering and Nutrition, a leading institute of
Hotel Management under Ministry
of Tourism, Govt. of India, hosted its Fresher’s Party 2016, in welcome of the
fresh batch of B.Sc. (Hospitality &
Hotel Administration) and the Diploma in Food Production on 29th July, 2016 in
the College Campus. The theme of the event was MONSOON which was being depicted
by every nook and corner of college auditorium. The seniors’ students welcomed
their fresh inmates by offering them a grand gala cultural event.
On this occasion a
plethora of cultural activities which included song and dance performances were
organized followed by a welcome speech by Mrs. Bharti Tyagi, the Principal of
the Institute, in her addressed said that it can be a life changing journey for
you all and we wish each fresher to leave an impression of infallibility on the
walls of this institute.
The event further
entered into a joyous state with the western dance, based on the theme followed
by fashion show for judging Mr. & Mrs. Freshers 2016.
The cultural event was concluded
by the striking BHANGRA performance that cheered the crowd. Students made the
campus a happening evening and the whole environment became enthralling. The
function was followed by cake cutting ceremony and Hi-Tea was organized in the
institute’s restaurant. The team work of different clubs of the institute
played a very important role in making the event a huge hit.
The event concluded
with every newcomer carrying a feeling of happiness within them.
