25th August:- Zee TV’s Fempowerment Women Achievers
Awards 2016 honoured Indian women for their achievements across various fields
at a star-studded ceremony and the glitzy soiree of recognition and celebration
of women’s empowerment will be telecast on Zee TV at 1 PM on Sunday, 28th August. A proud recipient of the honour was stunt woman
Geeta Tandon. Her inspiring journey through life, starting from child marriage,
marital rape and domestic abuse to her resiliently bouncing back and making a
name for herself has been well documented by media. Geeta was awarded the most
successful stuntwoman of B- Town at the Fempowerment Awards. To her surprise,
her rakhi brother and television’s much sought after heartthrob, Gurmeet
Choudhary, joined her up on stage and gave her a big hug while she was being
felicitated. This was a dream come true for Geeta who was overwhelmed at both
the recognition as well as the pleasant surprise from her rakhi brother.
Gurmeet said that geeta and he met and bonded during our
stunt-based reality show. She is a wonderful woman and hats off to her
resilience and never-say-die attitude. When he heard that she was being
felicitated at Zee TV’s Fempowerment Women Achievers Awards, he was super
excited. He think it is a wonderful initiative to felicitate women who have
worked hard towards achieving their goals in life and made a mark in their
respective domains. Geeta’s struggle from being a housewife stuck in a troubled
marriage to a stunt woman of repute is marvelous and inspiring.
The awards show lauds women innovators, visionaries,
activists & creative minds from the corporate world and showbiz in the
presence of noted celebrities including Subhash Ghai, Saroj Khan, Kailash Kher,
Rajeev Khandelwal, Dolly Thakore, Chhaya Momaya, Mrunalini Deshmukh, Krishika
