21st November:- To Mark the 350th Birth
Anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, 3-day the first 'Vishwa Punjabi Sahitya
Sammelan' (Global Punjabi Literature Meet) from 18th to 20th November
2016 was organized at Ganesh Krida Kendra, Pune (Maharashtra) in which more
than 4,000 delegates participated from Punjab, throughout India and other countries such as
Canada, USA and UK.
This Sammelan is organized by
'SARHAD' a Pune based organization. This was a tribute to Guru Gobind Singh Ji
who compiled 'Guru Maniyo Granth' and 'Guru Granth Sahib', which are unique
compilations of teaching of various religions and languages. She said there in
her lecture that the organization like Punjab Arts Council should also work in
the same direction so that the youngsters are attracted towards this goal.
Maharashtra is the land where Guru
Gobind Singh Ji came to in his final few years and where he breathed his last
in Nanded.

Arts Council was awarded for her contribution to Punjabi language and
culture on 20th November 2016by renowned social activist Sh.
Anna Hazare.
In the inaugural session was attended
by Sh. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Minister
of Road Transport and Highways of India, Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister
of Maharashtra and NCP chief Sh. Sharad Pawar.
'Vishwa Punjabi Gaurav Awards' were
given away to prominent Punjabi personalities including the actor Dharmendra,
Ujjal Dosanjh, Indian-origin Canadian MP Dr S. P. Oberoi, Chairman of Apex
Group of companies S. Tarlochan Singh.
