28th January:- The Founder’s Day of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women,
Sector-26 was celebrated in the college campus on January 28th,
2017. The ceremony was dedicated to the 350th Prakash Utsav of
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Religious Discourse was
conducted by Gyani Sandeep Singh
Kalewal - The Kathavachak. Shabad Kirtan by the College
girls & Bhai Gurmeet Singh followed the discourse. Thereafter Bhai Tejinder Singh (Shimla Wale)-The
Hazoori Ragi of Shri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar presented hymns of Sri Guru
Gobind Singh Ji.
Dr. Balkar Singh, Prof.
Eminence, Punjabi University, Patiala during his illuminating talk about the
historical aspects of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji dwelt upon its significance for
the issues present today and for the times to come.
S. Gurdev Singh, IAS
(Retd.), President of Sikh Educational Society (SES) graced the occasion along
with Col. (Retd.) S. Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary, SES attended the religious
function.
Col. (Retd.) Bala thanked
the Principal, Staff and Students for presenting a purposeful and lively
program which was followed by “Guru ka Langar”.
Principal, Dr. Charanjeet
Kaur Sohi motivated the students to imbibe the values enshrined in the teachings
of the Sikh Gurus.
