Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh-cum-President, SPCA-Chandigarh is
touching new heights in the field of Animal Welfare every day. In continuation of the process of animal
welfare, SPCA with the co-ordination of Animal Husbandry Department Chandigarh
started Human Education Program. On 23rd February, 2017 SPCA
organized a visit of students of Oakridge International School at SPCA premises. Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Veterinary Officer,
Manimajra educated these students about animal rights and also gave them the
guidance regarding protection from aggressive dogs and how to avoid dog bite.
They were
also educated about objectives of SPCA and its motives and future plans. Students were made aware about the deadly
zoonotic diseases like rabies.
