Videocon’s Connect Broadband Enters into Strategic Tie-Up with MobiKwik to Promote Cashless Digital Transactions

Chandigarh 17^th February:- Connect Broadband, the telecom arm of the Videocon Group and market leader  in broadband in Punjab has collaborated with Indian mobile wallet major ‘MobiKwik’ to offer and promote cashless digital transactions. As a part of this strategic tie up, any Connect broadband Customer who makes his Connect broadband bill payment using the MobiKwik wallet service can avail a cash-back of upto Rs. 150 or 15% of the bill amount, whichever is lower.

The company feels that this endeavor will promote use of digital payments among its users and support the era of Digital India movement. Currently approximately 9% of the company’s bill payments are made using the wallet mode, and with this promotion, Connect broadband is expecting the percentage to grow to 30% within next couple of months.  

Speaking on the association, Arvind Bali, CEO of Connect Broadband said that at Connect we continuously look for ways and means to enhance customer experience, meet & exceed customer expectations and delight them. This strategic tie up with Mobikwik is yet another endeavor in that direction. Digital transactions or call it ‘cashless transactions’ is one of the most recommended mode of payment now, and what more could one expect than getting rewarded for using this fast growing mode of payment mode. He said that currently only about 29% of our customers are using digital mode to make their bill payments, and he is sure that with this unique tie up, this percentage will climb upto 50% within next couple of months. Arvind Bali added that user convenience is the core of our service and supporting the country’s vision into a cashless economy, we have partnered with MobiKwik to enable our users in paying their bills digitally, seamlessly and securely from their phones. He is certain that our users will find this offering extremely convenient.
