22nd May:- His highness Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki the Governor of Haryana
raised curtain of Mahatma Gandhi Statue at Gandhi Smarak Bhawan, Sector 16-A,
Chandigarh. Pawan Kumar Bansal, Ex- Central Minister, K.K.Sharda, Chairman
Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Devraj Tyagi, Director Gandhi Smarak Bhawan and Prem Vij
were also present in the function. On this occasion the
children of Bluebird Public School, Panchkula sung the favorite Bhajan of
Gandhi ji.
His highness Prof. Kaptan
Singh Solanki, Governor Haryana said that this is a good step for our youth and
the new generation will be motivated with the principles of Gandhi ji. He announced a donation of Rs 10 lakh to the Gandhi Smarak
Bhawan to increase its activities.
K.K.Sharda, Chairman said
that a museum of Gandhi ji will be shortly established in the Bhawan. Beside
that the existing activities i.e. Ladies Nature Cure Centre, Library etc., the
renovation work of which in progress for this he requested to donate funds.
Devraj Tyagi informed
about the activities being run at the centre on regular basis.
Ex-Central Minister Pawan
Kumar Bansal emphasized on the principles of Gandhi ji of Non violence
which is very much needed in the present situation of the country. He also
assured to donate funds for this noble cause.
