June:- Can & Will Foundation in association with
their adventure sports arm, CATS, organised its 28th blood donation camp
on World Blood Donors Day. at Rotary Blood Bank Society Resource Centre in
Sector 37 today.
Right from
morning the stream of volunteers continued to lineup for blood donation and b y
evening 167 had donated blood, which included many first time donors.
Like
always, Can & Will Foundation had created this time the theme of school to
celebrate the success of the children in the recently announced results, and to
make parents relive their school days, most of the donors came in their school
uniforms while the complete decor was of a kindergarten with colorful chairs
and benches, blackboard, notice board, and score card sheets.
A scholar's quiz and
parent teachers meet completed the fun for the day as the staff of the Rotary
Blood Bank Society Resource Centre also joined in joyfully to be a part of the
activities.
Supreet
Dhiman said that The Can & Will has donated over 3200 units of blood to
save lives so far in its 28 blood donation camps which are organized every quarter.
Donating blood would not cost you anything
and it does not really hurt anymore than a standard blood test would, however,
a little of your time and effort would help save precious lives.
