Haryana Governor Gives Two Bricks and Two Bags Cement in “Ek Eint Saheed Ke Naam” Campaign

Chandigarh 10th June:- Haryana Governor Professor Kaptan Singh Solanki today gave two bricks and two bags cement in the campaign of social campaign “Ek Eint Saheed Ke Naam” in the Raj Bhawan one each for a memorial to be constructed in the name of Martyr Sushil Kumar resident of Pehowa District Kurukshetra and another for construction of akhada in the memory of Martyr Ram Mehar, resident of Khedi Mansingh village District Karnal. The Governor gave the bricks and cement to Sanjeev Rana who is coordinator of this campaign. On this occasion, Major P.J. Singh, father of Lt Col Bikramjit Singh, family members of Martyr Sandeep Sankhala, Anu Pasricha, Parveen Kumar Rattan, Anu Goyal, Vijay Goel and representatives of social organizations were also present.
The Governor appreciated this campaign and said the underlying idea behind this campaign to be very inspirational. He said that the message of honoring of Martyrs will reach the doorsteps of each house and the strong feeling of patriotism among the people will be conveyed through this campaign. While giving the best wishes for the success of this campaign, Prof. Solanki assured all possible cooperation from his end.
On this occasion, Sanjeev Rana the coordinator of this programme said that people are continuously contributing their support since the commencement of this campaign. Many people with their families are reaching the Martyr's house with a brick and a cement bag. People from all walks of life including old aged and various institutions and organizations are seeking information telephonically from him. One each brick and cement bag given by the Hon’ble Governor will be provided to Sumedha Kataria, Deputy Commissioner Kurukshetra for its use in Pehowa memorial to be constructed in the name of Martyr Sushil Kumar resident of Pehowa District Kurukshetra.
Sanjeev Rana said that with the help of people participation memorabilia will be constructed in the name of these martyrs for use of general public so that it will serve as a motivation and benefit of common people and forthcoming generations. First of all, the modern akhada will be built in the name of Martyr Ram Mehar of Khedi Mansingh village District Karnal who wished such construction of akadha after his retirement from the Defence Forces. Ram Mehar was martyred in Sukma, Chhattisgarh while fighting the naxalites. This campaign has been started to fulfill his dreams with the help of participation of residents of the village and other people from various segments. He told that the family of Martyr Bikramjit Singh will send collected bricks and cement bags from Chandigarh to Karnal. Similarly, material collected from Panchkula will be carried over by the family of Martyr Sandeep Shankala to Karnal. He said that the park will be built in the name of Martyr Sushil in Pehowa District Kurukshetra.
