01st June:- The society will always cherish the
memory of Mata Avatar Kaur who rendered relentless service for the cause of
poor and downtrodden besides successfully discharging her family obligations.
Her demise is a big loss to the society which can never be compensated. It was
said by Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, Advisor to the Chief Minster, Punjab while
paying tributes to Mata Avtar Kaur at her antim ardass. Mata Avatar Kaur is the
mother of senior journalist Davinderjit Singh Darshee who died after a brief
illness. Antim ardass for the peace of departed soul was held at Gurudawara
Sahib of Shivalik City, Kharar. Scores of religious, political leaders, social
workers and academician attended the antim ardass.
Bharat Inder Singh Chahal said that
Mata Avtar Kaur is a lighthouse for the society to tread the path of
righteousness and truth. She successfully discharged her family obligations by
teaching high moral and ethical values to her children. She was a pious
religious lady who was highly respected by the society for her exemplary work
which she did for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden.
Bharat Inder Singh Chahal prayed to
the almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and to bestow strength
to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Iqbal Singh, former Governor of
Pondicherry also paid rich tributes to Mata Avtar Kaur by saying that he always
kept close relations with this family and he had personally saw Mata ji doing
her temporal duties with smile and contentment on her face. He also threw
lights on the work of Davinderjit Singh Darshee in the field of journalism.

the antim ardass included Balbir Singh Sidhu, MLA, S.A.S. Nagar, Pargat Singh,
MLA, Budh Ram, MLA, OSD to C.M Punjab M.P Singh, Ragbir Singh Jaura, former
Chairman Agro Industries, Kulwant Singh, Mayor, Municipal Corporation,
S.A.S.Nagar, Ret. Deputy Director Dr. Uma Sharma & Surinder Mohan Singh.
