August:- The University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab
University sent five students to visit the Nottingham Trent University, UK
for an 11 day course in English
Legal Culture and Skills. Prof. Rattan Singh, Director, UILS said that this
was the first step in establishing a long term student-exchange program between the two universities.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Shruti Bedi from UILS, PU.
The students namely Brea Sandhu, Gurmehar Singh Sekhon, Raghav
Singla, Savreet Kaur and Varanpreet Kaur claimed to have come back enriched and were
happy to have been chosen as a part of this program. The program taught the
students different aspects of the constitutional history of England, international human
rights and judicial review, honed their skills in negotiation and mediation and
included a visit to the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
