October:- The
Institute cheerfully celebrated “Paryatan Parv” by organizing an Inter College
Tourism Quiz Competition, with an objective to spread awareness and measure
knowledge on Indian Tourism amongst young students of the region. Eight teams from different hospitality
Institutes of the region took part in this competition. The students were being
asked questions on topics specifically related to Indian tourism:

Natural
Tourism resources in India
·
Popular
Tourist Destination of India.
·
Cultural
Tourism in India
·
Heritage
Tourism in India
·
Chandigarh
Tourism.
The entire session was divided in another
three rounds. In the first round, each team was asked questions related to
different dance form of India, State tourism tagline and few religious tourism
destinations information.
In second stage, participants were being
showed images of few historical monuments and were being asked to identify them
with the information on state at which is belongs.
The third and final stage was a rapid fire
round in which teams were given one minute time and the freedom of answering as
many question as they can on Indian tourism and Chandigarh tourism.
It was pleasure to know that the young
generation is very well aware about the rich culture and heritage of India.
They also have a passion to travel a lot to know the country. At the end of
quiz the audience was appraised about many other tourist attractions which are
less known to people. The winners of the event were suitably awarded for their
success.
The final Results for the competition was
Tanisha Dua and Rubal Kalia from Chitkara University declared First, Yachana
and Yash from Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran stood Second in the
competition and Shruti Prajapati and Sumedha Pandey from Post Graduate
Government College, Sector 11 ,Chandigarh declared Third.
