Chandigarh 21st Aug:- The Chandigarh NHM
Employees Union (CNEU) completed the third day of strike in front of office of
NHM ,office GMSH 16.All the member’s working under NHM participated in today’s
strike and all showed their anger towards the irresponsible act of NHM
department that they even didn’t bother to ask us for meeting and sort out the
things.we just want that none of our employees will be terminated from their
job working from more than last 10 years and equal pay for Equal work.
Today All Contractual Karamchari Sangh, under the chairmanship
of Bipin Sher Singh & President, Ashok Kumar came to join and support the
ongoing protest strike and supported by President,Gurcharan Singh MOH union,
President,Chander jaswal, higher education teachers.Also, today the regular
front of GMSH 16 and members of Joint action committee came to support and
assured us that if required they will also help us by intensifying the
agitation by stopping all health services of GMSH 16 and allied dispensaries.We
are sitting here on strike from last three days but the department is not
listening to us and showing negligence towards his employee, it has been
decided unanimously in a single voice that this ongoing strike has been
declared as Indefinite Strike till the fulfilment of demands.We will intensify
our protest and may go on dharna in front of residence of Member of parliament,
Smt. Kirron kher very soon.As a daily movement, at the completion of today’s
strike all members of union moved a protest march to the office of Director
health services, UT and announced to all members of CNEU to continue this
protest as Indefinite Strike.
