Chandigarh 21st September:- Rotaractor
Shashank Kaushik was installed as the President to Rotaract club Chandigarh
Shivalik for the year 2019-2020 at the at the prestigious ceremony held at
Grapho, in Sector 7.
The newly installed Club President
and Secretary, pledged to serve the community today to their best of the
abilities for a better and brighter future.
Rotaractor Shashank Kaushik
outlined the projects the club will be undertaking in the year 2019-2020. Major
projects included Mahadaan-Blood Donation Drive, Annapurna- Feeding the
underprivileged, Tree Plantation Drive etc. He along with the board members
will represent and head the activities of the club in and around Chandigarh.
Sharing his vision, the newly
installed President said that we are the youth of the society. By harnessing
the untapped power of the youth, we have the power to change our world and make
it a better place. We have to be the change to bring about the change, with the
help of my fellow Rotaractors, it is the opportunity to pursue my passion of
social service. I will dedicate my time to servicing the nation by helping the
underprivileged, creating awareness about the social issues and doing as many
community services projects as we can.
He further shared that we will be
awakening the power of collective effort and impact, positive effort of youth
will help in fulfilling Rotary’s theme ‘Rotary Connects the World’ as well as
the theme of the club ‘Together for Good’.
The newly elected board members
were pinned by the Guests of honour. Then the President of Rotary Club
Chandigarh Rtn. Aneesh Bhanot shared the words of wisdom guiding every member
of the club. DRR Ishita Kaith also stated about the works of RCCS over the last
few years and her expectations for the next year.
Garima Madan, the club secretary
concluded the meeting with her insights as to what the club aims to achieve and
provide to everyone.
