26/11 Mumbai Attack: Bike Rally Flagged off to Mumbai In Memory of The Brave-Hearts Martyred In The Attack

Chandigarh 19th November:- In the memory of the brave-heart martyrs of 26/11, Mumbai attack, NGO ‘I Am Still Human’ (IASH) in collaboration with Barents by Rock and Storm and Thumpers Café which is a well known motorbike riding group of Chandigarh, kick started a tribute campaign ‘Shaurya Ride’ from Sector 19 Petrol Pump, Chandigarh. The ride is taking place under the leadership of Lt Gen K J Singh (Retd), PVSM, AVSM**, Former Army Commander & Ambassador, Shaurya Campaign, ‘I am Still Human’.
The rally comprising 17 bike riders-which was also the number of martyrs from paramilitary and Indian armed forces in the Mumbai terror attack, was flagged off by Col Manvinder Singh (Retd.) and Aashu Khare, Director, Rock & Storm - a corporate.
As part of the campaign, the riders who left for Mumbai, will make a stopover at 5 cantonments and will pay tribute to Indian army personnel and families of Indian army martyrs. This will be a befitting tribute to those Indian armed forces and other security personnel; who laid down their lives for the nation in the 26/11 Mumbai attack.
Vivek Mehra, Founder, ‘I Am Still Human’ said that the riders will undertake a 2300 Kms long journey from Chandigarh to Mumbai. En-route they will pass through 5 cities and 5 cantonments. There will be stopovers made at the following cantonments–New Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad and finally Mumbai (Colaba). The riders will start their journey back on November 25. The stopovers will be used to interact with the jawans and families to understand their needs better.
The riders will also make the civilian population aware of the different ways of contributing to the welfare of veterans and families of the Indian armed forces.
According to Col Manvinder Singh (Retd.), that the initiative has been organized in memory of all the martyrs of our great nation. It is our brave soldiers and officers because of whom we are breathing in a free country and we should do everything possible to keep their morale high.
This ride’s aim is to unite the nation with the country’s soldiers, who are always ready to sacrifice their lives in the line of duty.
Prashant Arora, MD, Rock and Storm said that as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) we have always stood for our forces. It’s under this initiative that we have joined hands with ‘I Am Still Human’ for this campaign.
Aashu Khare, Director, Rock & Storm summed up and said that our soldiers are the real heroes of the country and we shouldn't forget their sacrifices for the nation. As responsible citizens, their families are also like our families and we should stand by their side always.
