NIIFT Mohali Holds Fresher’s Party

Chandigarh 21st November:-The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology organized a sumptuous FRESHER’S party on Thursday morning .The theme of the event was “Boho Chic”. Being one Colorful and Fashion studded affair,the fresher’s bash was thrown by senior students to welcome the new comers and boost up their confidence to start their new journey.
The purpose of this event was that every “FRESHER” of the college feels like an integral part of the NIIFT family and is ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead. The party began with shower of blessings of Ganesh Vandana followed by the pulsating ambience and foot tapping music and dance performances by the budding stars.
Avneet Kaur, Director, NIIFT said that it’s a pleasure to be a part of this prestigious institute. I wish good luck to the fresher’s.
S.Inderjeet Singh, Registrar, NIIFT addressed the students and said that it’s been a long journey with NIIFT and I have seen students growing in varied walks of life. NIIFT welcome fresher’s with full enthusiasm.
Dr. Poonam, Principal, NIIFT also conveyed her best wishes to the fresher’s and said that each student is very dear to us as we make them the part of our institute.
The theme for the fresher’s party was “Boho Chic”. Inquisitive about campus life and conscious of the latest fashion trends, the fresher’s dressed their best. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by seniors and juniors students of fifth and third semester. They performed on very energetic dance numbers that made the day even more charming. This was followed by usual introductory and interactive session of the Seniors and Junior students.
The highlight of the event was Mr. and Miss. fresher’s contest in which fresher’s walked the ramp gracefully and participating in many short listing rounds. Akash was chosen as Mr. Fresher and Savneet Ms Fresher in Undergraduate and in Masters Anu was adjudged Ms. Fresher 2019.
During the event, ‘Tere Sang’- a sanitary napkin donation initiative for the underprivileged was also unveiled by Rotary Club, NIIFT Mohali.
The event concluded with prize distribution ceremony to the College Toppers and the Cultural team members. The team work of cultural committee headed by Dr. Meeta Gawri and students did their best to make the party successful.
Vote of Thanks was given by the Principal of the college, Dr.Poonam Aggarwal.
The party ended up with mash up of students enjoying together as a big whole family to share love and happiness and evening to be cherished lifelong with broad smile on their faces.
