3 Days 'The Great Indian Book Tour' Inaugurated at CGC Landran

Chandigarh, 05th Feb, 2020:- ‘The Great Indian Book Tour’ in collaboration with Spartan Poker and Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran is organising a 3 days Book fair cum Book launch programme. The authers from across india would be coming to interact with the book lovers during the event.
Lt. Gen. J.S. Cheema inaugurated the event on wednesday at CGC Landran. Addressing the book lovers he said that youth has a great energy that need to be channelized in a better way to make India world leader. He asked the audience to read good books to be informed about the happenings in various fields of society.
On the first day, during book talk session author Dr. Kanwal Preet while talking about her book ‘Rings of life’ said that writing is passion and one must do it with whole heart. She asked students to do whatever their heart asks them to do as life should be lived without regrets. ‘Rings of life’ consists of 13 stories of struggle, passion and evil of different people out of that 12 are about women and one about a man. She said that there is lot life beyond mobile phones, go and observe as there are millions of things to cherish. Every human being has a story to tell, just listen it.  
Talking about his book 'Watch Your Back' writer Dr. Shantanu Sharma provide tips prevent back pain. He said that around 80% of people are suffering from severe or minor back pain today and the reason behind that is nothing but our lifestyle. More than medical treatment, the people have to change their lifestyle to have a pain-free life.
A workshop under the banner 'Unboxing a Book' was organized by Prof. Jayanti from Panjab University. She said that writing can be based on any aspect of life as life has various stories and experiences. To connect the dots perfectly and effectively is the key to get the readers.
The author of 'Spies, Lies and Red Tape' Amit Bagaria explained the back stage drama happening on the higher level of bureaucracy. Amit Bagaria said that ’Spies, Lies and Red Tape’ is his 10th book and first fiction novel. It was released in mid of October 2019.The Amazon released it under thriller and mystery category and it appeared among top 3 new releases of 2019. The book is based on alternate reality that is a new concept in Indian writing pattern.
The actors of Alankar Theatre staged play 'First Teacher' to highlight the importance of teacher and guide in life.
