‘CII Applauds Haryana Budget’: Sunjay Kapur

Chandigarh 28th Feb:- Appreciating the announcements made in Haryana Budget 2020-21 presented by Manohar Lal, Chief Minister, Haryana, Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Chairman, Sona COMSTAR said that the budget’s focus on education, health, security and self-reliance is a significant step towards promoting equitable growth in the state.
Sunjay Kapur congratulated the State Government for presenting a good budget and mentioned that the State’s decision to introduce no new taxes is a welcome move. He also welcomed the Government’s decision to provide isosorbide Dinitrate tablets used to treat heart failure, free of cost at public places in the state. He further appreciated the State’s decision to launch Skill Training Programmes for Registered Medical Practitioners in the State through Vishwakarma Skill University.
Lauding the state’s decision to increase allocation for the education sector by 28% and announcements for opening 116 new model schools across the state, English medium schools and digital libraries in rural areas, Sunjay Kapur said that this move will go a long way in increasing literacy rate in Haryana.
The State’s announcement to set up 24 new Model Industrial Training Institutes fitted with modern equipment, trained staff, internet connection and other required facilities in the year 2020-21 will enhance the availability of technically qualified work force for industry.
As presence of sound infrastructure is key to economic growth, Sunjay Kapur lauded the state’s announcements to construct Road Over Bridges/Road Under Bridges in the state under a special programme at all the National Highways passing through the State, State Highways and main District Roads in the year 2020-21.
He expressed his happiness over Haryana’s performance in the Ease of Doing Business Index and mentioned that the Government’s efforts in formulating and implementing “New Enterprise Promotion Policy 2015” are yielding desired results.
Speaking on the announcements made for the agriculture sector, he said that the State’s decisions to encourage organic farming and setting up of Stubble Purchase Centres in each block of affected districts are welcome moves as in addition to improving the quality of crops being produced such steps will also help controlling environmental pollution.
