लाडी सिंह ने नया गीत "हेडफोन" लांच किया

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- हरियाणा में पले बढ़े और म्यूजिक में एमए कर चुके युवा तथा होनहार गायक लाडी सिंह आज अपने नए गीत “हेडफोन” की लांचिंग के लिए चंडीगढ़ पहुंचे। इस अवसर पर उनके साथ सुमित तथा ओशन भी उपस्थित थे। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने बातचीत करते हुए बताया कि वे हरियाणा के यमुनानगर के रहने वाले हैं और उन्होंने कुरुक्षेत्र युनिवर्सिटी से म्यूजिक में एमए की है और उस्ताद गोपाल खंडेल से अभी भी संगीत की तालीम हासिल कर रहे हैं।

पत्रकारवार्ता में बातचीत के दौरान उन्होंने बताया कि अब तक उनके चार गीत -मेरा सोहणा-, -डिमांडां-, -मुद्रें- और रोग गीत आ चुके हैं और यह उनका पांचवां गीत है। जिसे टी-सीरीज के बैनर तले रिलीज किया गया है और विभिन्न चैनलों पर इस गीत को अच्छा रिस्पांस मिल रहा है। इस गीत को सोशल मीडिया पर भी अच्छा रिस्पासं मिल रहा है। यूट्यूब पर इस गीत को अभी तक लगभग 9 लाख से अधिक लोग देख चुके हैं।

गीत बारे बातचीत करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि यह गीत युवा पीढ़ी को ध्यान में रखकर तैयार किया गया है। गीत के वीडिया डारयेक्टर टेप हेड हैं, म्यूजिक जयमीत का है और टीसीरीज ने इस गीत को रिलीज किया है। गीत का वीडियो का फिल्मांकण करनाल स्थित रेस्टोरेंट दाना पानी में किया गया है और इसमें माडल प्रियंका सोलंकी ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई है।

उन्होंने अपने बारे बताते हुए कहा कि वे स्कूल और कालेज के समय से ही संगीत से जुड़े हुए हैं। हरियाणवी गीतों बारे पूछने पर उन्होंने कहा कि वे हिंदी और पंजाबी गीतों को ही तरजीह देंगे और जल्द ही उनकेतीन पंजाबी और एक हिंदी गीत लांच किए जाएंगे। फिल्मों में जाने के बारे में उन्होंने कहा कि यह तो किस्मत पर ही निर्भर है कि वे बालीवुड में जाएंगे अथवा पालीवुड में। उन्होंने बताया कि वे नशों पर बन रही एक शार्ट फिल्म में भी नजर आएंगे।

ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਪਰਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਕਰਜਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ 6240 ਕਰੋੜ 94 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਦਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਚਾਲੂ ਮਾਲੀ ਸਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਕਰਜਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ 6861 ਕਰੋੜ 50 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਨਾਲੋ 620 ਕਰੋੜ 56 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ 'ਚ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਕਰਜਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੁੱਲ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੁਲ 5517 ਕਰੋੜ 83 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ  ਦੇ ਕਰਜੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ  ਸੈਕਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ 2626 ਕਰੋੜ 64 ਲੱਖ  ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਕਰਜੇ ਮੁੱਹਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਾਨ ਫਾਰਮ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ 1512 ਕਰੋੜ 57 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਨ ਤਰਜੀਹੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ 1343 ਕਰੋੜ 67 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਕਰਜੇ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਪਰਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਨੁੰ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਧੰਦੇ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਅਰੀ, ਮੱਖੀ ਪਾਲਣ, ਪਿਗਰੀ, ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਧੰਦਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਘੱਟ ਵਿਆਜ ਤੇ ਕਰਜੇ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਧੰਦੇ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਕਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ। 

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਬੈਂਕ ਦੇ ਲੀਡ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਆਰ.ਕੇ. ਸੈਣੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਚਾਲੂ ਮਾਲੀ ਸਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਕਰਜਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ 100ਫੀਸਦੀ ਟੀਚਾ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੰਡ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਲਈ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਰਿਵਾਇਤੀ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਲਾਹੇਵੰਦ ਫੱਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਬਜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਧੰਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਰਜੇ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਬੇਰੁਜਗਾਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਵੈ ਰੋਜਗਾਰ ਧੰਦੇ ਸੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਘੱਟ ਵਿਆਜ ਦੇ ਕਰਜੇ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Auditions of India’s Biggest Reality Show of Acting & Dancing ‘No.1 Dramebaaz’ Season 3 Held

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- Vijay Bhardwaj, Award Producer and Director, and Child Actor Aryan Dubey announced the Third season of India’s Biggest Reality Show of Acting & Dancing ‘No.1 Dramebaaz’ by Trivision Films Pvt. Ltd., in the City Beautiful. The basic concept behind the show is to motivate and promote the talent of acting and dancing, and help them to acknowledge their potential at an early stage. SBI Life Net Profit Grows By 31% to Rs. 336 Crores in Q4 of FY 16-17

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- SBI Life Insurance, one of the most trusted private life insurance companies in the country, today announced a net profit rise of 31% to Rs. 336 crores in Q4 of FY 16-17, as compared with Rs. 256 crores in the corresponding quarter last year. SBI Life’s individual new business premium (APE) rose by 40% at Rs. 2,213 crores in Q4 of FY 16-17 as compared with Rs. 1,586 crores for the same period last year.

For the financial year 2016-17, SBI Life reported a Net Profit of Rs. 955 crores, an increase of 11% compared to last year’s Net Profit of Rs 861 crores. SBI Life also became the first private life insurer to cross Rs. 10,000 crores in New Business Premium. The New Business Premium for FY 16-17 grew by 43% to Rs. 10,144 crores. The Individual New Business premium (APE Basis) rose to Rs 5,936 crores in FY 16-17, recording a phenomenal growth of 39% compared with Rs. 4,276 crores in FY 2015-16.

Commenting on the financial results of the Company, Arijit Basu, MD & CEO, SBI Life, said that the overall FY 2016-17 has been excellent for the company including the last quarter (Q4) not only in terms of business but quality as well. With 39% growth in the Individual New Business premium (APE Basis), we have entered the 17th successful year of operation and command more than one fifth of the private life insurance market.

He added that our primary commitment is to our customers and during the year we have improved our Death Claim Settlement Ratio to 98% and further reduced our complaints related to misselling to 0.20% of the policies sold, which is the best in the industry. Our focus in the coming times will be on further enhancing our distribution efficiency, lowering operational cost, introducing innovative products and continue to be customer centric. We look forward to the coming year and promise our continuous and dedicated efforts towards serving our customers.

Commercial Bank Successfully Completes Pilot on Cloud-Based Blockchain Network with Infosys Finacle

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Infosys (NYSE: INFY), and The Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, along with its subsidiary and associates (“Group”), today announced the successful completion of a pilot on the first ever cloud-based blockchain network to process international remittances. Commercial Bank, along with its subsidiary Alternatifbank (“ABank”)  in Turkey and its associates National Bank of Oman (“NBO”) in Oman and United Arab Bank (“UAB”) in the UAE, have formed a grid for routing cross border business transactions across the India-GCC corridor. This is among the busiest remittances corridor in the world, as per the World Bank report.

The blockchain network of Commercial Bank Group was created in a matter of weeks, independent of the underlying core banking systems at each of the banks. The network is built on an asset-agnostic cloud-based ledger with which the banks are able to automate inter-organizational processes, reducing the risk of fraud and enabling greater transparency. The permissioned network eliminates the need for intermediaries, enabling the banks to settle customer payment requests on a real-time basis.

In the next phase of this project, the Commercial Bank will focus on trade finance transactions, particularly the transmission of secure documents and smart contracts. The blockchain network powered by Infosys Finacle, will allow all trade finance transactions to be paperless, further simplifying the process of digital exchange of purchase orders and invoices. The banks can exchange and authenticate original international trade documents electronically in real time, as against several days which was earlier the accepted norm. The solution will deliver enhanced transactional security and higher accuracy at lower costs.

Governor Badnore Inaugurates “Mini Auditorium” at Tagore Theatre

Chandigarh 03^rd May:- The much awaited “Mini Auditorium” was today inaugurated by V. P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. The inauguration was done in the presence of M.P Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Punjab, Anurag Agarwal, Home Secretary-cum-Secretary Cultural Affairs, Mukesh Anand, Chief Engineer, Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, Balkar Singh Sidhu, Director, Tagore Theatre and other senior officials of the Chandigarh Administration.

During the inauguration ceremony, there was a Ghazal performance by Vinod Sehgal renowned Ghazal and Playback Singer. Vinod Sehgal was initiated into music by his father Sohan Lal Sehgal and learnt Classical Music from RM Kulkarni, CL Jigyasu and nuances of ghazal singing from ghazal king Jagjit Singh.    

After making a mark in the region Vinod Sehgal shifted to Mumbai in 1975 and worked as Music Assistant to Hans Raj Behl from 5 years till he fell in the blessed tutelage of his revered guru Jagjit Singh in 1980. Sh. Vinod Sehgal has also been honored with several awards including Haryana GauravSamman, Haryana Punjabi Sahit Akademi and Urdu Akademi Awards and many more.  

For less number of audiences a dire need of Mini Auditorium was realized, in which literary, musical and cultural items could be presented. Concerts of classical dances and music are enjoyed and relished by a few number of learned audience. To fulfill the goal, the Department of Culture, Chandigarh Administration took the initiative of constructing a Mini Auditorium with an elegant look, which is equipped with all modern theatrical facilities. The Mini Theatre has been set up by the Engineering department of U.T, Chandigarh. The Mini Auditorium is ready to host any kind of shows as it has a beautiful hall with black curtains, stage, wooden floor, modern lighting and sound-facility, 100 retractable seats. Two separate Green Rooms for artists (one for ladies, one for gents), changing rooms, and separate toilets as well. Mini Auditorium is fully air conditioned.

On 4^th May- the WEF will take place in Amritsar, 5^th May in Jalandhar, May 6 will see WEF being held at Ludhiana, May 7 in Chandigarh, May 8 in Moga & Bathinda on May 9 and in Sri Ganganagar WEF will be held on May 10.

Meanwhile, John Evans explained that during the past 12 months, there has been much anxiety in the Indian market relating to studying in the USA.  This John said has been fueled both by political change and media coverage. The expert added that however, according to a recent SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) report, India remains a strong, growing provider of international students for the US market.  Some figures too were shared with media -- now over 1.2 million students are studying in the USA, with over 200,000 from India.  

John Evans added further that the positive part is that F1 visa approvals during Q1 of 2017 from India are up by around 2% from the same period in 2016.   Many agents and universities are now reporting there are signs of improvement in consumer confidence and they expect application volume to increase in 2017.  He added that large volumes of students still appreciate the high quality of education offered by US universities, along with the opportunities to access practical experience with major US companies via Curricula Practical Training and Optional Practical Training Programs..   

Manish Paitka, CEO, Charms Education which has been designated to provide Student Visa Consultancy for German Colleges & Universities, explained that nearly 40 top Government approved Colleges & Universities from different countries will take part in the WEFs’. “Germany’s Colleges & Universities are offering free education to foreign students. The Pre-condition is that one has to learn the German language & meeting academic requirements as per University. If one achieves B2 level in language then Bachelors’ programmes are free & in case one has proficiency level of C1 then he or she can pursue a Masters free of cost. The population of Germany is decreasing & Universities expect to have 30% less students by 2030. This has prompted the government there to take the free education route.

Speakers at the Press Meet informed that at the WEFs’ International Recruitment heads from Switzerland which is the World’s most sought after tourist destination will showcase innovative Hospitality programmes. Singapore will present itself as a pathway to countries like USA, Australia & Canada and that too at costs which are 1/3^rd of academic costs in these countries. Canada will be represented by 21 Colleges & Universities. Australia will be represented too.

State AIDS Control Society Launches 21st Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre

Chandigarh 02^nd May:- State AIDS Control Society launched the 21^st Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre in Chandigarh which would provide free confidential testing for HIV and Syphilis, in the Transport Area, Sector 26 Chandigarh.

The Centre was inaugurated by the Anurag Agarwal, Health Secretary, Chandigarh Administration. He appreciated the efforts of the Department and various partner NGOs in bringing down the HIV prevalence in Chandigarh to a low 0.11%, far below the National prevalence of 0.27%. He also expressed gratitude to the partner NGO, Transport Corporation of India Foundation (TCIF) for their generous contribution and commitment to establish the testing laboratory under the PPP mode.

The Testing Centre is strategically located in an area where the “Bridge” Population comprising of Truckers and Migrants can easily access the testing services. There are about 250 long distance Trucks which visit this halt point. These Truck Drivers and Attendants travelling more than 800 km. away from home are vulnerable to HIV and STIs. In Chandigarh, it has been seen that a higher HIV positivity is present in this section of the society. One Targeted Intervention Project for Truckers and another for Migrants is being implemented by CSACS through the TCIF in the hot spot areas of Sector 26, Manimajra, Daria and around. The Facility of confidential counseling and testing has been established with the financial and physical support of the TCIF. It is expected that with the establishment of this Centre, testing of the High Risk Groups leading to early detection of the disease and early initiation of treatment, would eventually lead to stoppage of HIV transmission.

Dr. Manish Chandra, Project Head from TCIF, in response to the request by the Health Secretary announced that the Laboratory would soon also provide free basic tests to the Community.

It was informed by the Project Director Chandigarh SACS, Dr. Vanita Gupta that in Chandigarh, easy accesses to testing services and extensive awareness generation activities have resulted in larger number of voluntary testing. Testing has increased from 62621 people tested in 2012 to 112281 people tested in 2016-17. It is important that vulnerable population knows their HIV status at the earliest so that early treatment can be started which will not only provide a good quality and longevity of life to the infected person, but also break the transmission of HIV.

Other dignitaries who attended the programme and committed support were the DHS, President Truckers’ Association, the local area Municipal Councilor.

Students of Sri Aurobindo School Shine at State Netball Championship

Chandigarh 02^nd May:- The young Netball team players of Sri Aurobindo School , Sector 27, Chandigarh brought laurels to school by bagging third position in 2^nd CL DAV Netball Trophy for Chandigarh State Netball Championship held on April 29 and 30 in boys` under 14 category. It was held at Sector 7 B Chandigarh. A total of 10 teams from various schools of Chandigarh participated in this championship. The Aurobindoites showed real dedication and left no stone unturned to achieve their goal. They beat CL DAV Model School and emerged as victorious with 04-03 points. They were awarded with medals and trophy. The Principal of the school congratulated them and blessed them for many more such victories in future.
