Disability Affairs Deptt. Invites Nominations for National Awards for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities

Chandigarh 04^th August:- The Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of State Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, Paryavaran Bhawan, New Delhi has  invited nominations for the National Awards for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in 13 categories such as BestEmployees and Self employed with disabilities, Best Employers and Placement Officer and Agency, Best Individual and institution working for the cause of persons with disabilities, Role Model, Best applied Research, Innovation and Product Development aimed at improving the life of persons with disabilities, Outstanding work in creation of Barrier free Environment for the Persons with disabilities, Best District in providing rehabilitation services, Best Local Level Committee of National Trust, Best State Channelizing Agency of National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation, Best Creative Adult Persons with disabilities, Best Creative Child with disabilities, Best Braille Press; and  Best Accessible website. Social Welfare Department, UT, Chandigarh is also requesting Voluntary Organizations and Government Departments to send nominations for consideration by 10.8.2016 at Town Hall Extension Building, Sector 17-C, Chandigarh. The prescribed application form is available at Social Welfare Department and also available at ministry website www.socialjustice.nic.in.

RLA Will Consider Self Undertaking and Self Declaration instead of an Affidavit

Chandigarh 04^th August:- The office of Registering & Licensing Authority, Chandigarh shall consider the self undertaking and self declaration instead of an affidavit in the case of genuineness and correctness of address proof and age proof certificate only. However, the applicant will be responsible for giving any type of false information about the residence proof and age proof in the same or genuineness of the certification.

Chandigarh 04^th August:- ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਐੱਸ.ਏ.ਐੱਸ.ਨਗਰ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਮੋਨਿਕਾ ਲਾਂਬਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮਾਡਲ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ, ਫੇਜ਼ 3ਬੀ-1, ਵਿਖੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਅਪਾਹਿਜ਼,  ਗੁੰਗੇ-ਬੋਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਨਾਪਣ ਦੇ ਸਿਕਾਰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਵਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ । 

ਵਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਗੁਰਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਵਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਪਗ 50 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਕ ਅਯੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ, ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮੋਨਿਕਾ ਲਾਂਬਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਇਹਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੋਗੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਸਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਨਹੀਂ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ਼ ਗੁਰਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਲੀਗਲ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਟੂ ਦਾ ਮੈਨਟਲੀ ਇਲ ਪਰਸਨਜ਼ ਐਂਡ ਪਰਸਨਜ਼ ਵਿਦ ਮੈਂਟਲ ਡਿਸਏਬਲਿਟੀਜ ਸਕੀਮਜ਼ 2010  ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਰੋਗੀ ਵਿਅਕੱਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।  

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਕ ਟੋਲ ਫਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕਰਵਾਉਣੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਟੋਲ ਫਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ 1968 ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਦਫ਼ਤਰੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ, ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਖੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰਿਟੇਨਰ ਲਾਇਰ/ਪੈਨਲ ਲਾਇਰਜ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। 

Chandigarh Police Solved Two Cases of Snatching and Four Vehicle Theft

Chandigarh 04^th August:- Anti-snatching squads of Chandigarh Police reported to have arrested snatchers and recovered the snatched items and four stolen vehicles from the different part of the city. Police said in jurisdiction of Sector 39 Police Station two persons namely Nitesh Kumar S/o suresh Kumar R/o # 296/2, Sector-41, Chandigarh and lnderjeet Singh S/o Manjeet Singh R/o # 52, Village Baterla and Harmeet Singh S/o Arvinder Singh R/o # 138, Sector 27-A, Chandigarh, arresided and recovered one Mobile Phone Law, Two Ladies purse, documents, Rs. 250/-, two Samsung mobile. In jurisdiction of Police Station Maloya police arrested Avtar Singh @ Tari S/o Charanjit Singh R/o H. No. 30, Milk Colony, Dhanas and Vishal Sharma S/o Dharam Pal Sharma R/o # 3123/1 & 3123, HBC, Dhanas. Police recovered Gold Chain. SSP Mr. Sukhchain Singh Gill said during investigation one Kamanidar Knife was recovered and section 25-54-59 Arms Act has been added. Police also recovered Honda Activa No. CH04-1129 and Hero Honda Splendor Plus No. CH-04H-7282. From Vishal Sharma Police recovered Purse containing Two photographs and Purse containing Cash Rs. 100 Pan Card, Aadhar Card, identity. In jurisdiction of Police Station Sector 11, Police arrested Charanjit Singh@ Channi S/o Sh. Sanjeev R/o # 3114, Sec-25-D, Chandigarh and recovered Activa No. CH01-AG-7382. Police said, total six cases of snatching, 2 of robbery and 4 of Motor Vehicle theft were worked out.   

Madan Mohan Mittal Starts Distribution of Free Cycles to 2214 Students under Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme

Chandigarh 04^th August:- Under Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme, free cycles has been distributed to 4 lacs 82 thousand 703 girl students in Punjab and this distribution of cycles will be continued in future too. This was stated by Minister for Industry & Commerce Punjab Madan Mohan Mittal while addressing a district level program at Auditorium of Shivalik Public School, organised here for distribution of free cycles to girl students of class 11^th & 12^th under Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme. During this free cycles were distributed to 241 girl students of Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School Sohana & Govt. Model Senior Secondary School 3 B 1 Mohali.

Madan Mohan Mittal said that under the immense leadership of CM Punjab Parkash Singh Badal, the scheme named Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme was initiated during 2011-12 to provide free cycles to girl students of class 11^th & 12^th in Punjab, which is being continued in the state till then. He said that positive results of this initiative have been noticed as girls have gained confidence towards higher education. He said that earlier it was a challenge for girl students to continue their studies after basic schooling due to lack of commuting means. But now with the facility of cycles for commuting, the presence of girl students has increased and scenario of girl education has improved in the state.

Madan Mohan Mittal said that excitement towards education is necessary for woman empowerment and this historic decision of Punjab Govt. has done the same. He said that it will also give a new direction to the society. During this while addressing the students he said that Punjab Govt. is doing each and every effort to improve the level of girl education in the state.

Later, addressing the press, he said that State Govt. is encouraging foreign investment in the state. He said that industrial sector of the state has been benefitted for Rs. 200 crore per month by waiving of the surcharge to Rs. 2 per unit. Addressing a question regarding Aam Adami Party he said that this Party has no value for people & not for the constitution of India and Aam Adami Party has no significance in Punjab.

Addressing the gathering Chairperson Zila Parishad Bibi Paramjit Kaur Badali said that SAD+BJP Govt. has always done extra efforts towards women and providing free cycles is a part of these efforts. During this she also explained about the various welfare schemes initiated by Govt. 

Deputy Commissioner D.S.Mangat said that under Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme free cycles worth Rs. 2 crore 80 lacs has been distributed to 10403 girl students of class 11^th & 12^th. Besides this the infrastructure of Govt. schools is also being improved.

उद्योगपति अपनी जरूरत के कुशल व्यक्ति तैयार करें:राज्यपाल

Chandigarh 04^th August:- हरियाणा व पंजाब के राज्यपाल और चण्डीगढ के प्रशासक प्रो0 कप्तान सिंह सोलंकी ने उद्योगपतियों को आह्वान किया है कि वे मेक इन इंडिया को सफल करने के लिए अपने उद्योग की जरूरत के अनुरूप कुशल व्यक्ति स्वयं तैयार करें। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे उद्योगों को कौशलयुक्त श्रमशक्ति मिलेगी और वे तेजी से तरक्की करेंगे। दूसरी ओर बेरोजगारी भी कम होगी। प्रो0 सोलंकी होटल माउंटव्यू में इंडियन पल्प एंड पेपर टेक्निकल एसोसिएशन के क्षेत्रीय सम्मेलन को सम्बोधित कर रहे थे।

प्रो0 सोलंकी ने कहा कि आज देश की 65 प्रतिशत आबादी युवा है। यह देश पर बोझ न बने इसलिए कौशल विकास के जरिए इसे देश की शक्ति बनाने की जरूरत है। ऐसा होने पर यह युवाशक्ति भारत को विश्व की बड़ी शक्ति बनाने में योगदान करेगी। उन्होंने उपस्थित उद्योगपतियों से अनुरोध किया कि वे देश को कागज उत्पादन में आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए नवीनतम प्रौद्योगिकी का इस्तेमाल करें। उन्होंने कहा कि देश में कागज बनाने के लिए कृषि उपजों का अपशिष्ट भारी मात्रा में उपलब्ध है। इसके उपयोग से कागज के लिए वनों की कटाई करने की भी कोई जरूरत नहीं रहेगी।

इससे पहले इंडियन पल्प एंड पेपर टेक्निकल एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष नीहार अग्रवाल ने एसोसिएशन की नीतियों और उपलब्धियों के बारे में विस्तार से बताया। इस कार्यक्रम की समिति के अध्यक्ष अनिल कुमार ने राज्यपाल व अन्य अतिथियों का स्वागत किया और एसोसिएशन के उपाध्यक्ष पवन अग्रवाल ने सबका धन्यवाद किया।
