Max Fashion Launches Its First Store in Pathankot

Pathankot 24^th October:- Max Fashion, India’s leading fashion brand, opened its first store and unveiled festive TVC in Pathankot which is also its 62nd Store of North. Marking the occasion as one of the many milestone achievement, the store inauguration was done by famous Punjabi actress Ms. Sara Gurpal and Shailendra Nath, General Manager, Max Fashion. ‘Plastic ka time up’ Campaign at Government Home Science College

Chandigarh 24^th October:- The Environment Society, Harita, of Government Home Science College today organized ‘Plastic Free Chandigarh Campaign’ to create awareness about the ill-effects of the use of plastics. The students highlighted the toxic chemicals that leach out of plastic and harmful effects of its exposure to human health.

In sync with the National/ Chandigarh Administration initiative on ban on one time use plastic, student volunteers sensitized the people of the better alternatives than plastic that can be used in our day to day lives.

The occasion was also marked by the poster making and slogan writing competitions in which more than 100 students participated. The campaign was sponsored by State Bank of India, Sector-10, Chandigarh. The Regional Manager SBI Rajesh Gupta was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Rajesh Gupta also planted a sapling of Gulmohar tree on the occasion.

The occasion also saw the Environment Society of the college organize Anti- Cracker Campaign before Diwali to make students aware of noise pollution caused by fire crackers. The volunteers also made an effort to highlight health hazards and ill-effects of breathing in the polluted air, caused especially due to fireworks. The Volunteers of environment society also took oath to pledge to protect our environment by avoiding the use of fire crackers on this Diwali.

The Principal of the College, Prof. Sudha Katyal, appreciated the students for their efforts in creating awareness amongst the masses and further informed the students about the profound and long lasting negative impact on the environment which cumulatively leads to acute health problems.

CII Chairman for Startups and Entrepreneurship Invests in Pumpkart

Chandigarh 24^th October:- Dr. Dinesh Dua, North India Chairman for Startups & Entrepreneurship for CII has made an angel investment in  Pumpkart, an online B2B platform which works on Brand to retailer model. Founded in 2014 by Mr. KS Bhatia, the startup which began as B2C company selling Pumps online pivoted earlier this year into a B2B platform. It has added multiple other categories to serve its clientele of retailers across Punjab, Haryana and Himachal.

Dr. Dinesh Dua currently,  CEO of Nectar Life Sciences Ltd and Chairman of Pharmexcil, Ministry of Commerce, GOI made his first Angel investment in a startup since he became the Chairman of Startups and Entrepreneurship for CII.

Dr. Dinesh Dua an alumnus of IIM ahmedabadhas spent substantial time understanding Pumpkart’s journey and its business model. Impressed by the pace at which Pumpkart has been able to execute and build brands like VTOP in the Smart LED space, he believes that under the leadership of KS Bhatia, Pumpkart has a great team to deliver.

The Punjab’s government support to startups like Pumpkart and others has really given a boost to the state’s startup ecosystem. Punjab Government is aggressively supporting Pumpkart to bring the MSMEs of Punjab onboard the Pumpkart’s platform. Dr. Dua believes that this is not only a great milestone for Pumpkart but would also give a great boost to the MSMEs of Punjab by giving them an easy access to the domestic market. He also says that this one step was probably the tipping point which led him to invest in Pumpkart.

Pumpkart which is a boot strapped organization is currently scaling and is spreading its wings to states beyond Punjab. 

Dr. Dinesh Dua specifically mentions this as the strength of a startup as a boot strapped organization is more careful with an external investment.

Dr. KS Bhatia, Co-founder and CEO of Pumpkart announced that Dr. Dua shall be joining the board of Pumpkart and under his mentorship, Pumpkart would scale new heights.

Dr. Dinesh Dua, through the CII platform also encouraged other high net worth individuals and corporates to identify innovative and fast growing startups like Pumpkart from the state and invest in them. This single step can provide a boost not only to the startup Ecosystem but also to the state’s economy.

सी. आर. बी. पब्लिक स्कूल ने दीपावली का त्योहार बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया

Chandigarh 24^th October:- सी. आर. बी. पब्लिक स्कूल  सैक्टर 7 - बी चण्डीगढ़ में गत वर्षो की तरह इस वर्ष भी दीपावली का त्योहार बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया गया। विद्यालय में रंगारंग कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। विभिन्न प्रकार की प्रतियोगिताएँ भी आयोजित की गई, जैसे रंगोली, बंधन वार (तोरन) मेकिंग तथा दीपक तथा मोमबत्ती सजावट आदि जिसमें कक्षा पहली से कक्षा आठवीं तक के विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़- चढ़ कर भाग लिया । प्री- प्राइमरी विंग के विद्यार्थियों के लिए भी विभिन्न प्रकार की गतिविधियों (एक्टिविटिज) का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें उन्होंने बहुत बढ़- चढ़ कर भाग लिया। विद्यालय के प्रांगण में विद्यार्थियों द्धारा लक्ष्मी- गणेश जी की पूजा का आयोजन किया गया ।

स्कूल के डायरेक्टर नवीन कुमार मित्तल एवं प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती संगीता मित्तल ने विद्यार्थियों को प्रदूषण रहित दीपावली बनाने की सीख दी तथा दीपावली की शुभकामनाएं दी । उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को समझाया कि रोशनी के इस पर्व को कैसे बिना पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुँचाए मनाया जा सकता है।

अंत में सभी विद्यार्थियों ने प्रदूषण रहित दीपावली मनाने का प्रण लिया।

Chandigarh 22^nd October:- चंडीगढ प्रशासन दवारा मंजूरशुदा पोसटों पर काम कर रहे कांटरैकट करमचारियों के विज्ञापन निकालने तथा जैम प्रणाली में ठेकेदार दवारा पुराने आऊटसोरसिंग वरकर को निकालने की चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन की कर्मचारी विरोधी नीतियों और भेदभाव भरे रवैये के चलते कांटरैकट व आउटसोर्सिंग कर्मचारी काली दीवाली मनाने को हुए मजबूर। आज हजारों की गिनती में कांटरैकट व आउटसोर्सिंग वर्कर्स ने एकजुटता दिखाते हुए चंडीगढ़ की सांसद किरण खेर और चंडीगढ प्रशासन विरूध रैगुलराइजेशन,समानता व नौकरी की सुरक्षा के लिए  रैली ग्राउंड में कैंडल मार्च निकाला और रोष प्रदर्शन किया।

आल कांटरैकचुअल करमचारी संघ,यूटी चंडीगढ के चेयरमैन विपिन शेरसिंह ने बताया कि आल कांटरैकचुअल कर्मचारी संघ  चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन दवारा पुराने आऊटसोरसिंग वरकरस को निकालने व कांटरैकट कर्मचारियों की जगह नियमित नियुक्तियों के लिए शिक्षा, उच्च शिक्षा और अन्य विभागों में अतिथि शिक्षक, व्याख्याता, क्लर्क और अन्य श्रेणियों के पदों का विज्ञापन देने तथा 25 साल से संविदा कर्मचारियों के नियमितीकरण के लिए कोई केंद्रीय दिशा-निर्देश न होने और न ही प्रशासन दवारा पंजाब की रैगुलराइजेशन नीति 2011 से इन कांटरैकट वरकरस को नियमित करने की चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन की नीतियों का विरोध करता है क्योंकि चंडीगढ में केंद्रीय नीति के अभाव में एक बार उपाय के रूप में पंजाब के नियमों का पालन कर सकता है ।वर्तमान में आउटसोर्सिंग श्रमिकों का शोषण और भेदभाव किया जा रहा है, जिनके बदले में निविदा या ठेकेदार के बदले में उनकी सेवाओं को बर्खास्त किया जा रहा है, विभिन्न विभागों में सरकार नए वेब पोर्टल GeM के माध्यम से निविदाएं जारी कर रही हैं, प्रशासन द्वारा योग्यता के लिए नए कार्यकाल और शर्तों को लागू करने या ठेकेदारों द्वारा पैसे की मांग की जा रही है पर उनकी सेवाओं को चंडीगढ प्रशासन दवारा सुरक्षित करने के लिए कोई दिशा निर्देश न देने का भी विरोध करता है ।

आल कांटरैकचुअल करमचारी संघ,यूटी चंडीगढ के प्रेजिडेंट अशोक कुमार ने बताया कि  आल कांटरैकचुअल करमचारी संघ,यूटी चंडीगढ कांटरैकट व आऊटसोरसिंग वरकरों की माँगों की आवाज उठाने ,बुलंद करने और इस शोषण और भेदभाव के खिलाफ व प्रशासन की असुरक्षा की गलत नीतियों के विरोध में व लड़ने के लिए कैंडल मारच" रोष- प्रदर्शन " किया।

चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन द्वारा कांटरैकट कर्मचारियों और आउटसोर्सिंग कर्मचारियों के लिए निर्णय लेने में कमी होने के कारण और जनता के बड़े हित में उनके मुद्दों को हल करने की कोई राजनीतिक इच्छाशक्ति न होने के कारण करमचारी संघ चंडीगढ प्रशासन के विरूद्ध जलद ही मोरचा खोलेगा ।

भारतीय मजदूर संघ के डेलिगेशन ने वरकरों को संबोधित किया व इस कैंडल मारच रोष पर दर्शन को समर्थन भी दिया और भविष्य में चंडीगढ प्रशासन से इन समस्याओं को सुलझाने के लिए मदद का भरोसा दिलाया ।

इस कैंडल मारच व मांगों की जानकारी प्रधान मंत्री,गृह मंत्री,श्रम मंत्री,प्रशासन व एम.पी को भी दी गई ।
