Indian Army Pugilist To Take On Pak Boxer In First Ever Professional Boxing Bout Between India And Pakistan

Chandigarh 05^th December:- In the first-ever Professional Boxing match between India and Pakistan-Indian Army’s Suresh Kumar, Indian pro boxer and the title winner of 1^st Indian Professional Boxing League is all set to take on his Pakistani contender Muhammad Bilal in the ring. Christened ‘The Fight to Unite’ the historic fight will be held on 29th February, 2020 at Auckland, New Zealand.

The details were announced by the Yadvinder Singh, CEO of Sports 13, who was accompanied by the boxer Suresh Kumar and his coach Jai Hind, during a press conference held at Press Club, Sector 27, here.

Gearing up for his upcoming bout against Muhammad Bilal, 26-year-old, Suresh Kumar, who is also serving in the Indian Army -Tradesman Mate (Ordnance) ensured to continue his winning streak. Suresh Kumar has a professional record of 3 wins and 0 losses in his pro boxing career

Suresh Kumar said that he is excited for the fight against the Pakistani opponent, as its first time that the two countries are playing their first-ever professional boxing match with each other. He doesn’t have any such pressure of the game and he is fully prepared to defeat his opponent.

He said that his only game plan is to play his natural game in the ring. He will focus on his basics and stick to the strategies that he has prepared with his coaches. He has studied Bilal’s game, he is weak at the back foot and his footwork is not fast. Here he has an edge over him.

While talking about the preparation, coach Jai Hind said that we have been working rigorously day and night on Suresh’s strengths and conditioning and am confident he will surprise the opponent in the ring.  

 He added that Suresh is a phenomenal player in the super-light division and has been consistently doing well in all in his past fights. Suresh has the advantage of height and reach compared to his opponent. Since the next bout is against Pakistan contender, the pressure is quite obvious, which will remain on both the opponents in the ring.

Following the session, Yadvinder Singh, CEO, Sports -13 – a sports management company and the organisation which is managing Suresh Kumar said that India has a lot of talent to create legends in the field of professional boxing. All we need is to create more platforms for the young talents, nourish them and bring more sponsors forward in this game. Sport 13 aims to hunt for young talent in different sports’ disciplines and nurture and train the youngsters.

Summing up the interactive session Yadvinder said that the fight will endeavour to give a chance to peace and the spirit of brotherhood between the two countries. This is why the bout has been named ‘The Fight To Unite’.

It was revealed that Suresh will also face Iranian boxer Khashair Ghassemi on 15^th December this year, the bout is to be held at Pattaya, Thailand.

Chandigarh 05^th December:- मलोया में गत रोज गैस लीक होने के कारण हुए धमाके में मृतक लेखराज की पत्नी आर्थिक तंगी के कारण अपने पति का अंतिम संस्कार करने में भी असमर्थ थी। हिमाचल महासभा, चण्डीगढ़ के पदाधिकारियों को पता चला कि वह बहुत ही गरीब परिवार से है व अपने स्वर्गवासी पति के अंतिम संस्कार को हिमाचल के धर्मशाला में ले जा पाने का उसके पास कोई प्रबंध नहीं हो रहा। 

इस पर संस्था के पदाधिकारियों ने उनसे मिलकर लेखराज की आकस्मिक मृत्यु पर शोक व्यक्त किया व संवेदना जताई तथा साथ ही ना केवल मृतक के अंतिम संस्कार के लिए रुपयों का इंतजाम किया बल्कि धर्मशाला तक ले जाने के लिए गाड़ी का भी प्रबंध किया।

Godrej Appliances Explores Futuristic Technology to Slash Energy Consumption by 80% for Air Conditioners

Chandigarh 04^th December:- A key driver for electricity demand globally is the ever-increasing use of air conditioners in homes and offices. India is not untouched by this phenomenon. According to the Indo – German Energy Forum 2018 report, by 2027 India’s cooling energy demand is expected to increase by 2.2x. With growing disposable income, rising middle class and urbanization, the number of room air conditioners in use in India is projected to be a whopping 1 billion by 2050. The growing use of Air Conditioners is amplifying the ‘urban heat island’ effect, in turn making cities warmer.  It is also known that Air conditioners are power guzzlers and an increase in demand for Air Conditioners will, in turn, put an upward pressure on the energy generation, leading to higher emissions. 

The emission report by UNEP confirms that global GHG emission for the year 2018 stood at 55.3 giga tonnes of CO2 Equivalent emission. And if the emissions continue at this rate, the average temperature in India will shoot up from about 24°C to about 28°C by 2100, as said in a research by the Climate Impact Lab. This further stresses the urgency for an improved cooling efficiency technology for all, without warming the planet.

It is in this context that a million dollar challenge was thrown across the globe to explore innovative solutions to the unfolding climatic threat posed by the growing demand for residential air conditioning. About 2100+ registration, with 139 applications across 31 countries participated in this competition instituted by a global coalition of Government of India and Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI). The participants ranged from major air conditioner manufacturers, research institutes, universities and start-ups. 8 of these 2100+ entrants have moved to the next level involving prototyping, Godrej Appliances being one of them.

विश्वास फाऊण्डेशन व एच.डी.एफ.सी बैंक ने आई.एस.बी.टी सैक्टर 17 में लगाया रक्तदान शिविर

Chandigarh 04^th December:- विश्वास फाऊंडेशन सैक्टर-9 पंचकूला व एच.डी.एफ.सी बैंक ने परम पूज्य गुरुदेव श्री स्वामी विश्वास जी के आशीर्वाद से आज बुधवार को आई.एस.बी.टी सैक्टर 17 चण्डीगढ़ में रक्तदान कैंप लगाया। यह कैंप चण्डीगढ़ गर्वनमेंट ट्रांसपोर्ट वर्कर यूनियन रजिस्टर्ड व रिकोगनाईजड चण्डीगढ एडमिनिसट्रेशन के सहयोग से लगाया गया। इस कैंप में हरजिन्द्र सिंह इंस्पैक्टर सी.टी.यू मुख्य अतिथि रहें। इस रक्तदान कैंप का उद्घाटन मुख्य अतिथि के साथ साथ विश्वास फाऊण्डेशन की जनरल सैक्रेटरी साध्वी नीलिमा विश्वास एच.डी.एफ.सी बैंक से असीम मलिक, यूनियन के सदस्य राज कुमार शर्मा चेयरमैन, जसवंत सिंह जस्सा पार्टी प्रधान, हरजिन्द्र सिंह प्रधान, सोहन सिंह जनरल सेक्रेटरी, संजय कुमार नैन उप प्रधान, हरदीप सिंह फाईनेंस सेक्रेटरी ने संयुक्त रूप से ज्योति जलाकर किया। कैंप का संचालन ब्लड बैंक पी.जी.आई चण्डीगढ से डा. निपुण परींजा व उनकी टीम ने किया। कैंप में 199 रक्तदानियों ने भाग लिया जिसमें से 70 को किन्हीं कारणों कर वजह से रक्दान करने के लिय मना कर दिया गया। 129 रक्तदानियों ने अपनी स्वेच्छा से रक्दान किया।

कैंप सुबह 10 बजे शुरू हुआ यह कैंप दोपहर 4:00 बजे तक चला। सभी ब्लड डोनर्स के लिए डाक्टरों द्वारा रिकमेंड रिफ्रेशमेंट का इंतजाम किया गया। सभी रक्तदानियों को उपहार के रूप में सर्टिफिकेट व बैज देकर सम्मानित किया गया।

Chandigarh 04^th December:- A 68-yr woman underwent a rarest surgery of abnormal heart arteries on beating heart successfully at a private hospital in Panchkula recently. 

Giving details of surgery, Dr Virendar Sarwal, director of cardiothoracic & vascular at Ojas Hospital said that anomalies of arteries is very rare especially for the main artery i.e. left anterior descending artery (LAD). Its somewhere between 0.64% to 1.30% and most of them are benign. But if they get diseased, it become serious as the supply to major area of the heart supplied by LAD to the tune of 50% is at risk and angina is quite severe.

The patient angiogram showed LAD arising from the right coronary artery (RCA) proximal part and then crossing over the right ventricle to descend along intraventricular septum, informed Dr Sarwal.

RCA was 100% blocked and PDA/PLV branch of RCA was filling retrogradely through collaterals. Most of the septal branches were arising from this abnormal origin artery making it more important and to be taken care of during surgery. The other left side artery ramus intermedius was also critically blocked.

The patient was taken for CABG and 4 grafts were put on her including left internal mammary artery. The crucial part of surgery was to identify the site of  arteriotomy in the abnormal origin LAD and to identify whether the other LAD required graft or not, said Dr Sarwal.

This type of malignant anomaly may result in blackout, sudden death, irregular rhythm and heart failure. In fact this is the second leading cause of death in the athletes as 19% when it is coupled with disease of other arteries, he remarked.

Dr Virendar Sarwal said that moreover surgical intervention requires more attention and care as to give proper revascularization more so in off pump or beating heart surgery, as wrong anastomosis can lead to intra-operative ischemia, arrhythmias and other problem.

He pointed out that the patient was discharged on 6^th postoperative day in stable condition, said Dr Sarwal adding only 9 such cases have reported worldwide till 2016 so far.

स्ट्रीट वेंडिंग एक्ट के खिलाफ एकजुट हुए वेंडर्स: नगर निगम के खिलाफ मुंह पर काला कपड़ा बांध किया साइलेंट प्रोटेस्ट

Chandigarh 04^th December:- चंडीगढ़ के विभिन्न सेक्टर्स की मार्किट में बैठें वेंडर्स नगर निगम के स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स एक्ट के खिलाफ लामबंद हो गए है।वेंडर्स ने चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम और चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया है और अपना रोष जताते हुए सेक्टर 15, 17, 19, औऱ सेक्टर 22  के स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स ने सेक्टर 19 के सदर बाजार की पार्किंग में आज चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन और नगर निगम के खिलाफ मुंह पर काला कपड़ा बांध शांतिपूर्ण प्रोटेस्ट किया। सभी मार्किट के स्ट्रीट वैंडर्स ने एकजुट होकर एक संयुक्त एक्शन एसोसिएशन भी तैयार की है। प्रोटेस्ट को कमेटी में शामिल सुनील पूरी, नीरज, प्रतिमा, नसरीन, ओमंग पूरी, दीपक कुमार, शंटी, टिम्मा, पूनम शर्मा और लाल चंद ने सम्बोधित किया।

रोष प्रदर्शन के दौरान सदस्यो ने बताया कि नगर निगम द्वारा टाउन वेंडिंग कमेटी में कई सारी अनियमितायें बरती गई है। कमेटी को वेंडर्स ने असंवैधानिक और अयोग्य करार दिया है। इस कमेटी में नगर निगम के कमिश्नर चैयरपर्सन होते है। इनके अलावा कमेटी में सुपरिटेंडेंट ऑफ पुलिस- ट्रैफिक, मेडिकल ऑफिसर ऑफ हेल्थ, चीफ आर्किटेक्ट, सुपरिटेंडेंट ऑफ पुलिस के साथ साथ शहर से स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स के चुने हुए 40 फीसदी नुमाइंदे होते है। उन्होंने बताया कि उन्हें पता चला कि नगर निगम ने इस कमेटी में वेंडर्स में कुछ सदस्य चुने है, जिनके बारे में उन्हें पता ही नहीं चल पाया कि ये सब कब चुने गए। इसके लिए उन्होंने नगर निगम से कागज़ात हासिल किये तो नगर निगम से प्राप्त उन डॉक्यूमेंट के अनुसार टाउन वेंडिंग कमेटी में श्रीमती कमलेश, राम पाल, श्रीमती गीता और सीता राम चुने हुए नुमाइन्दे बताए गए है। उन्होंने बताया कि वो सब ये नही जानते कि इन चार नुमाइंदों का चयन कब हुआ। असूलन इनका चयन पूरी चुनाव प्रक्रिया के अंतर्गत होता है। इसके लिए बाकायदा एक चुनाव अधिकारी का चयन होता है जो कि चुनाव की पूरी प्रक्रिया कि घोषणा करते है कि चुनाव के नामांकन दाखिल करने, नाम वापिस लेने, चुनाव तिथि और पोलिंग स्टेशन और वोट समय क्या क्या है । लेकिन ये सब कब हुआ, कब ये प्रक्रिया अपनाई गयी, कब इलेक्शन हुए और कब ये सब सदस्य चुने गए। ये स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स को पता ही नही। इस बारे में नगर निगम से रिकॉर्ड मांग गया है। लेकिन चुनाव हुए हों तो ही रिकॉर्ड उपलब्ध होगा।

उन्होंने बताया कि नगर निगम और प्रशासन की इस धांधली के खिलाफ स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स ने चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक माननीय वी पी सिंह बदनौर, चंडीगढ़ प्रशासक के सलाहकार मनोज परिदा, गृह सचिव, नगर सांसद किरण खेर , एस एस पी चंडीगढ़ नीलाम्बरी जगदाले को लिखित शिकायत सौंप मामले की गंभीरता से जांच करने की अपील की है। उनके अनुसार अगर उनकी शिकायत पर जल्द और निष्पक्ष कार्रवाई नही होती तो वो अपना प्रोटेस्ट तेज करेंगे और नगर निगम कार्यालय का घेराव करेंगे।

उन्होंने बताया कि चंडीगढ़ में इस वक़्त 6000 से अधिक स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स हैं। जोकि शहर कि विभिन्न मार्किट में फड़ी लगा कर अपना व् अपने परिवार का भरण पोषण कर रहे है। ज्यादातर वेंडर्स का ये धंधा पीढ़ियों से चला आ रहा है। चंडीगढ़ में रहन सहन महंगा होने कि वजह से ज्यादातर ने अपने रहने का ठिकाना चंडीगढ़ के नजदीक लगते क्षेत्र में शिफ्ट कर लिया है। उन्होंने बताया कि वो लेकिन रोजी रोटी के लिए उन्हें आना चंडीगढ़ ही पड़ता है। उन्होंने बताया कि अगर तनाव की इस स्थिति में वेंडर्स को कुछ हो जाता है तो इसके जिम्मेवार सिर्फ और केवल सिर्फ प्रशासन और नगर निगम ही होंगे।
