NCB Arrests Two Persons at ISBT-17 and Seize 2.800 kg Opium

Chandigarh 27^th August:- NCB officers seized 2.800 kg Opium at Bus Stand I.S.B.T. Sector-17, Chandigarh and arrested two persons namely Sharif, resident of Village and Post Office Laduna, Tehsil and Police Station Sitamau, District Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh) and another Salamu resident of Village and Post Office Laduna, Tehsil and Police Station Sitamau, District Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh). The source of Opium is Madhya Pradesh. This is the 5^th seizure by NCB Chandigarh during this month. Name of both the persons surfaced during investigation of seizures affected by NCB in last 04 months. Both are the main supplier of Opium in the area of Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Keeping in view of Poll for Punjab Assembly Election 2017, NCB is on high alert regarding supply of drugs in Punjab.
