September:- The second day of Pediatric Simulation (Training of Trainers)
Program was held in Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGI on 15 September. The
main focus on day-2 was about ‘debriefing’, which a process is involving the
active participation of learners guided by a facilitator whose primary goal is
to identify and close gaps in knowledge and skills. Debriefing is an
effective teaching tool that fosters an environment of reflective learning and
interaction as compared to traditional didactic teaching. Delegates from
various sub specialties of pediatrics actively participated in the simulation
scenarios and benefitted from the vast experience of renowned international and
national experts. The program concluded with the final remarks on how to
set up low cost simulations in one’s own hospital and use it
effectively to improve day to day practice.
