Health Department is going to organize free Health cum Screening Camp at Village,
Behlana on 3rd September, 2016 (Saturday) from 8.00 AM onwards. This
is in continuation of previous Six Health Camps held at Daddu Majra,
Maulijagran, Dhanas, Ramdarbar, PHD-25 and Civil Dispensary, Sector 8.
Dr.
Vanita Gupta, Director Health Services said that the doctors from various
specialities like Medicine, Gynae., Skin, Eye, ENT will be examining patients
and will be providing free consultation. Health promotion and awareness
generation regarding prevention, timely detection and management of Non Communicable
Diseases and other diseases will be the main highlight of the screening camp.
During
the camp people will be screened for Leprosy, Oral, Breast and Cervical
Cancers. Women above 30 yrs will be screened for Breast and Cervical Cancer by Gynecologists
from Chandigarh Health Department. Risk profiling of patients will also be done
for Non Communicable Diseases. General public will also be sensitized about
adoption of healthy lifestyle including healthy food and importance of physical
activity. Mobile food testing van will also be available at the venue for
testing food samples and various laboratory tests including Blood Sugar, HIV
and VDRL will also be conducted at the venue.
