12th September:- Jagmeet
Singh Brar has hailed the ‘Kisaan Manifesto’ released by AAP’s National
Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in Baghapurana yesterday as a very well drafted
comprehensive solution that will lay the foundation for the revival of Punjab’s
rural economy and ailing farming sector.
Jagmeet Singh Brar said that the
‘Kisaan Manifesto’ had covered the pain areas of Punjab’s farming sector and
provided a much needed ray of hope to distressed farmers who were on the verge
on suicide he commented that this manifesto is the result of months of sincere
hard work and efforts of the ‘Bolda Punjab’ team led by Kanwar Sandhu, and it
reflects the real pain of farmers, it gives Punjab a new ray of hope and brings
out real solutions to real problems.
Thanking the people of Punjab for
their overwhelming response at yesterday’s event he said the crowd had
surpassed the Maghi rally he had praised openly while still in Congress and
added “Despite every Akali roadblock there was a sea of Punjabis at Baghapurana
yesterday and a Tsunami of hope started when this manifesto was released. Urging
farmers to stay strong in the face of rising debt he appealed that only a few
months are left for winds of change to bring in good times in Punjab, ‘Tagde
Reho, Umeed Na Chaddeyo’.
He thanked the manifesto team and
AAP’s leadership for incorporating the key suggestions of Lok Hit Abhiyan in
the manifesto and said “I thank the manifesto committee for including the
solutions that Lok Hit Abhiyan had proposed during our door to door campaign
over the last months and we will now take this manifesto to the people of
Punjab and ask for their support in 2017.
Brushing aside Captain Amarinder’s
remark that the manifesto was copied from Congress he said that Amarinder
should get his memory checked Congress
has not released a manifesto yet, how can we copy something that doesn’t exist?
On the other hand, he started a campaign for a Loan Settlement Ordinance in May
from Chapperchiri – Bajwa and Amarinder started to copy those two weeks ago.
He also laughed off Captain’s tweet
saying Kejriwal had no knowledge of agriculture and jibed “If Amarinder thinks
he’s an agriculture expert because of his Cherry farming experience then his
manifesto will be a joke book.
