Chandigarh
13th October:- Over last four days 28
cases of Dengue has been reported from various health institutions which
includes 20 new cases and 8 confirmed amongst probable cases which brings the
total number of Dengue cases to 578 in the city.10 fresh cases of Chickungunya
have been reported by GMCH 32 and PGI. The details of 88 cases of Chickungunya
detected in Chandigarh is; 28 imported, 24 wrong address and 36 from
Chandigarh.
To further strengthen the
preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith
strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of
breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources.
