27th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation on 7th to 9TH October

Chandigarh 05th October:- The department of Nephrology in association with Department of Transplant Surgery, Hepatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiology Cardio-thoracic Surgery, Pathology, Microbiology and Plastic Surgery is going to organize the 27th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT-2016). The conference will be held in the Hotel Hyatt Regency from 7-9 October 2016. About 25 experts from USA, UK, France and SAARC countries will attend this conference and share their expertise. About 800-1000 delegates from India and abroad are expected to attend this conference.
Live demonstration of Robotic Renal transplant will be shown on 6th October 2016, followed by preconference CME in PGI in which various session and workshops will deal with newer techniques of organ retrieval and transplantation, minimal or no scar surgery, pediatric transplantation and post transplant complications. From 7th-9th October the main conference will be held in the Hotel Hyatt Regency. Every day in the morning and evening there will be plenary sessions, which will be followed by multiple parallel sessions. The parallel sessions will deliver talks on other solid organ transplantations like liver transplantation, heart transplantation, lung transplantation, small bowel and pancreas transplantation. There will also be a plenary session on hand transplantation. In addition, there will also be parallel session on transplant infections and transplant pathology. The conference will also have talk on measures to increase deceased donor pool, and donation after cardiac death. There will also be talks on how to perform renal transplantation in highly sensitised patients as well as across the blood group barrier. The experts will also delve on newer strategies and latest technology to diagnose graft rejections, early detection of infections. They will also provide updated recommendations on management of various transplant associated issues.
There will also be dedicated sessions on the role of National Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization (NOTTO), which is a National level organization set up under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in organ transplantation. Transplant coordinators play an important role in the cadaver donation program and there will also be a two day program and meeting of the Transplant coordinators. There will also be a special session of the Transplant status in SAARC countries, where various speakers from SAARC countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Nepal will share their experience of establishing the solid organ transplant and various challenges in SAARC countries.
