DC Orders Telecom Companies to Depute Security Guards at Mobile Towers

Chandigarh 23rd November:- It has been made to appear to Ajit Balaji Joshi, District Magistrate, U.T., Chandigarh that some members of the public and Unions have been climbing on the mobile towers, which are installed at various places in union Territory, Chandigarh, by the Telecom Companies, in order to seek public attention for acceptance of their demands. As such, there is every apprehension that such kind of incident will cause disturbance of the public peace and law & order and tranquility leading to danger of human life.  
Ajit Balaji Joshi, District Magistrate, U.T., Chandigarh is of the opinion that immediate necessary precautionary steps and Measures needs to be taken to curb such incidents by issuing orders to the Telecom Companies to regulate and monitor the towers in City, installed by them in public interest.
Therefore, Ajit Balaji Joshi, District Magistrate, U.T., Chandigarh do hereby order U/s 133 Cr. PC, 1976 as an emergency measure that all of the Telecom Companies shall depute Security Guards at these Towers installed within U.T., Chandigarh and the same shall be monitored and regulated by the Telecom agency in the interest of public. This order shall be complied within seven (7) days by all of the Telecom Companies, whose towers are positioned and installed in U.T., Chandigarh. Any breach of this order shall be punishable under the Indian Penal Code.
