OYA believes in keeping
racing off the road and in safe environment while at the same time we take up
one or the other social cause every year. This year the event has been
dedicated towards creating awareness about drug abuse.
The event is running
seventh time and has a scope for participation in two wheeler motorcycles, four
wheel cars and off road driving in SUVs. The competition is being held on
closed track with trained marshals and medical services available on site. The
event is being organized under permit from Federation of Motor Sport Clubs of
India (FMSCI) following all international norms.
For first time for an
event run in this region live timing system is being used that can be checked
on the internet by supporters and fans of participants.
Before any participant is
allowed to race their vehicle and riding gear is checked by independent
qualified technical delegates and scrutinizers appointed by FMSCI. The purpose
is to ensure that maximum emphasis on safety is kept during the races. This
check also is used for determination and verification of engine capacities.
There are many sub
categories of competitions based on engine capacities of vehicles so that the
powerful vehicles do not gain an upper hand vis-à-vis the smaller vehicles. The
event has attracted wide spread attraction and there are participants coming
from faraway places like Mumbai, Indore, Ahmedabad, Delhi and of course
the states around the tri city region. There are over 150 participants and
above 60 officials involved in the safety and conduct of the event.
Some of the well-known names of motor sports fraternity Suresh Rana, Sunny
Sidhu, Samrat Yadav, Harvinder Bhola etc. are likely to participate in the

(Clerk of the Course) and Kirpal Tung is the CRO (Competitor Relationship
Officer), both Old Yadavindrians. Padam Chauhan, the ace
offroader of the country and the President of the Gerrari Offroaders will also

Autocross is a popular
format that is used internationally to run weekend races by enthusiasts and
does not present any special expenditure by the competitors. As the number and
variety of vehicles increase motorsport is catching the imagination of
youngsters.

on Sunday evening with prize distribution at the venue grounds itself. In addition to the above Prizes the
