19th December:- Sood Sabha,
Chandigarh celebrated its 54th Annual Sood Milan Divas at Sood Bhawan, Sector 10,
Panchkula.
Shashi B. Sud, General Secretary presented a
report about the various social activities undertaken by the Sood Sabha during
the year.
According to Amit Sood, Secretary, Public Relations
Sood Sabha Chandigarh, the main attractions of the Divas were Sood Prince &
Princess, honoring of Sood Biradari people who are above 80 years, Fancy Dress
& On Spot Painting competition, Sports and other cultural activities. A matrimonial
counter was also installed for the Sood families.
Prizes
were given away to meritorious students who excelled in the field of education
and sports. Senior members of the Sabha were also honored on the occasion. At the end there was a Lucky Draw and a prize
distribution function which was the major attraction.
More than one thousand biradari members from
the tricity and the adjoining areas participated in the Milan Divas and made it
a great success. The Divas was concluded with a word of thanks by the Balraj
Sood, Chairman Sood Milan Divas Committee.
