view of the assembly election in district SAS Nagar, five candidates from
constituency 053 SAS Nagar have filed their nominations at Returning Officer
cum SDM SAS Nagar Anuprita Johal, at District Administrative Complex, whereas
no nomination filed by any candidate for constituency 052- Kharar & 112-
Dera bassi.
Stating
this district electoral officer cum deputy commissioner D.S. Mangat said that
any participating candidate could file their nomination papers at prescribed
counters in the office of returning officers till 18 January from 11 AM to 3 PM
on any day.
From the assembly constituency SAS
Nagar, nomination papers were filed by SAD candidate Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu
at the office of returning Officer SAS Nagar and Mandeep Kaur filed her
nomination papers as covering candidate for him. However, another nomination
filed by Parneet Singh Pandher as a Independent candidate and Krishan Gopal
Sharma of Bharat (Integrated) Rakshak Party & Gurpal Singh Mann of Punjab
Democratic Party filed their nomination papers with office of Returning
Officer.
D S Mangat said that scrutiny of
nomination papers will be done on 19 January and till 21 January any candidate
could withdraw his/her nomination. Polling will be held on 4th Feb Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Finally counting of votes will be done on 11th March 2017.
