20th February:- PGI topped flower competition by winning 14 prizes in 45th
Rose Festival held at Rose Garden, Sector 16, Chandigarh by beating 24
competitors. It comprises 6 first prizes & 8 second prizes .While talking
to us the Superintending Hospital Engineer informed that it is the result of
hard work of his dedicated team of Well Qualified horticulture engineers &
experienced malis. It is part of their endeavor to give soothing environment
to the patients & attendants visiting the Institute. He also informed that
PGI is planning scientific plantation of trees along the boundary wall being
constructed. The plantation would not only reduce noise pollution in the campus
but also would help reducing dust particulates in the campus.
