World Red Cross Day: Indian Red Cross Society organizes Blood Donation Camp

Chandigarh 08th May:- The Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh has organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of World Red Cross Day 8th May, 2017 in the premises of Karuna Sadan Building, Sector 11B, Chandigarh. The Blood Donation Camp was organized under the supervision of Sushil Kumar Taank, Training Supervisor, IRCS and the team of Doctors, Para medical team from Department of Transfusion Medicine, Blood Bank, PGI, Chandigarh.
About 100 Volunteers were present in World Red Cross Day Celebration and 33 units of blood collected during the camp. The Blood Donors are honored by giving certificates for donating blood by Blood Transfusion Department, PGI, Chandigarh for a noble cause.
Sushil Kumar Taank, Training Supervisor, Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh has donated blood for the 59th time in this camp. The camp was a great success. All the Red Cross Employees have motivated the Blood Donors to come forward and donate blood. The Blood Donation Camp received an enthusiastic response, as a large number of employees/volunteers came forward and donate blood.
