Chandigarh 03rd
October:- The Chandigarh Housing Board has approved the
New Citizens’ Charter vide Agenda item no. 402.5.1. During the process of
implementation of the provisions of the New Citizens’ Charter, it has come to
notice that there are provisions for giving public notice for inviting
objections in the cases applied for transfer under the Consensual/Blood
Relation/Addition or Deletion (of the spouse name) Transfer Policy and for
mutation of property on the basis of Sale deed/transfer deed/gift deed etc.
However, as per past practice, the Chandigarh Housing Board is not releasing
public notices in such cases.
In order to give notice to all the concerned
and interested persons, who have reasonable claim(s) against the property and
to avoid any sort of fraudulent transfers, it is decided that public notice
giving 15 days time for inviting objections to the proposed transfer, shall be
given in all such cases, as per the provisions of the New Citizens’ Charter
with effect from 19/09/2017. It is
further clarified that the transfer applications received before that date
shall be processed as per the past practice, in order to avoid inconvenience
& harassment to applicants.
