SD College Students Bags 1st & 2nd Position in B.Com Honours Exams

Chandigarh 15th May:-GGDSD College Kheri Gurna, Banur created a history breaking all the previous records by securing the coveted 1st, 2nd and 8th position, in the B.Com (Hons) 3rd semester examination conducted in December 2017 by Punjabi University, Patiala. The results were declared on May 8, 2018.
Muskan secured 87.80% marks and stood 1st in the university, Raveena got the 2nd position by securing 87% marks and Arjun Bhatia bagged the 8th position with 83.20% marks in the university.
Muskan, Raveena and Arjun Bhatia acknowledged, appreciated and applauded the efforts put in by the Management, the Principal and the Faculty Members for their success. They gave credit to the faculty for giving them practical hands-on training. The pedagogy of the college is really unique and different from other institutions which have given them an edge over others.
8 students of this class won distinction in the university. 12 students of the college won distinction in B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (General) examinations held in December 2017.
Dr. S. K. Baria, Principal, GGDSD College Kheri Gurna Banur stated that the credit for this outstanding performance goes to the hard work and perseverance of the students, the dedicated efforts put in by the highly competent and learned members of the staff who work day and night with rare passion, and exceptionally competent and experienced members of the Governing Body.
Sh. Upkar Krishan Sharma, the President of the GGDSD College Society said that the results shown by the students are sure to prove as a turning point in the history of the college which has carved a niche for itself within a short span by imparting quality education to the students and giving practical exposure beyond the classrooms in the various fields of commerce and management education. The college frequently invites professionals and experts from the industry and academia, who deliver talks on diverse subjects to equip the students with rare knowledge and skills so that they may have an edge over their counterparts.
