Green Thumb Initiative Launched on the Banks of Dravyavati River in Jaipur

Jaipur 06th June:- On the eve of World Environment day, Tata Projects Limited has launched its `Green Thumb initiative’  from  the banks of Dravyavati River at Shipra Path Park, Jaipur. Dravyavati River is 47.5 km long rain fed river, in the heart of Jaipur city, which had deteriorated into sewerage Nallah.   Jaipur Development Authority, along with Tata Projects is rejuvenating this river by recharging it with treated sewerage water and has landscaped slopes on both – its banks, along with parks and social spaces.  
Jaipur Development Authority officials, School Children and several other NGO’s participated in the tree plantation drive. Citizen partnership in Jaipur is also being sought and several resident welfare associations too have come forward to participate in the plantation drive.   
Further, at around 137 project sites of Tata Projects)across the country `Green Thumb’  was launched today, as a simultaneous tree plantation drive. About 65,000 trees shall be planted under the Green Thumb initiative this year. The initiative is also launched on digital domain wherein citizens across the country can participate.
This initiative will also be launched online. When one clicks on the `Green Thumb’  banner (on www.tplgreenthumb.com ) we shall attribute it to a tree we shall plant. Clicks, exceeding 65,000 nos.  will be attributed to the cause of protecting the environment.
