Chandigarh 14th June:- The Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh
celebrated World Blood Donor Day on June 14, 2018 by organizing three
blood donation camps at Punjab Raj Bhawan in the state of art facility
"Blood Mobile Van" inaugurated by Governor Punjab &
Administration, U.T., Chandigarh V.P. Badnore. He appreciated the state of the
art facility of blood mobile van which is unique in its public outreach for the
promotion of volunteer blood donation.
Second blood donation camp was at Bridge Market, Sector 17,
Chandigarh organized by Shree Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Regd.,
Panchkula also inaugurated by Honorable Governor of Punjab and honored
Plateletpheresis & whole blood donors on this occasion. Third blood
donation camp was at "Blood Donation Centre" in Advanced Trauma
Centre in PGIMER, Chandigarh. Voluntary blood donors were facilitated by
mementoes, certificates and pens as a token of appreciation. Around 300 units
of blood were collected on this occasion.
