All Contractual Karmachari Sangh Holds Candle March Protest

Chandigarh 28th November:- Today thousands of Contractual & outsourcing employees, under the banner of All Contractual Karamchari sangh held a massive Candle March Protest for grievances and demands of Contractual and Outsourcing  employees and workers from Rally Ground to Punjab Raj Bhawan. The protest started from Rally Ground and was scheduled to Governor House but was stopped at University due to security reasons.
All Contractual Karamchari Sangh, Chairman Vipin Shersingh and President Ashok Kumar said that thousands of Contractual and Outsourcing employees and Workers from various departments of Education,Higher Education,Technical Education,Hospitals,Transport,Hotel, Management, Municipal Corporation, Health, Sports Deemed University, Punjab University, PGI etc participated in this drive.
All Contractual Karamchari Sangh claimed that the Chandigarh administration has engaged thousands of contractual employees and have no security of these employees in the absence of any Central policy since 20 years.These employees are suffering due to non adoption of Punjab regularization policy of 2011 by Chandigarh administration.
On the other hand the Outsourcing Workers were demanding Equal Work Equal Pay under Contract Labour and Regulation Act 1970. The Outsourcing workers were also demanding non replacement and non removal of workers in lieu of change of tender or contractor by issuance of notification by Chandigarh administration.
The NHM employees in Govt Hospitals and Civil Dispensaries demanded Equality of Pay at par with another Central scheme of Sarv Sikhsha Abhiyan.
The Karamchari Sangh had met Kirron Kher-M.P and V.P. Badnore, Administrator UT,Chandigarh, on the issues but Chandigarh administration has not taken any initiative so far.
The delegation of karamchari sangh was let to meet Governor by giving him a memorandum for demands for the strength of thousands of contractual and outsourcing employees and workers in various departments of Chandigarh.
The Karamchari Sangh Will intense their fight by holding a Maharally with families in the month of December if the demands are not met.
