SVGOI Hosts I K Gujral PTU Zonal Youth Fest (West Zone ) 2019

Chandigarh 18^th October:- On the second Day of the event was the inaugurated at the campus, in the presence of celebrity from the region Jagdeep Saigal, SDM, Mohali, Chairman SVGOI-Ashwani Garg, President SVGOI-Ashok Garg ,Hillary Victor,City Head, HT Media, Mrs Dolly Guleria, Punjabi Folk Singer , Dr Surinder Sharma, Observer, IKG PTU and Sameer Sharma, Assistanrt Director,Youth Services, IKG PTU, Director General SVGOI-Ms. Aruna Bhardhwaj, Director Academics SVIET-Dr. Swati Sharma also presided over the function. The event started with Ganesh Vandana( Indian Classical) Performance by our students followed by other colorful events.

Director Academics SVIET Dr Swati Sharma welcomed all the guests, faculty members and students and gave best wishes to all participants.

Zonal youth fest is annual cultural mega festival of IKG PTU  and as the name suggests, the event is full of vigor and energy of students, faculty, participating individuals from various intra-colleges under the institutes and sponsors from various local and national level organizations. It is an interactive ground for dynamic youth from various courses.

The day was the continuation of previous day of fest i.e 15th Oct. This day is much awaited as this day is final day of the two day fest. Students get together to celebrate the spirit of life by performing in various cultural and social events in various dimensions of performing arts. There were E Skit, Face Painting, Dance to Express Solo, Free Style Dance, Talk Show, Group Dance, Makeup on, Sketch Poster, Stan, Regional Dance & most awaited Star Night by renowned Punjabi Singer  Dolly Guleria.

After the various performances the Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized in which the wining Houses & Students were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.

Zonal Fest IK Gujral PTU, is a colour-filled & colour-inspired extravaganza of fun-filled & fun-motivated events, witnessed more than 27 programs in Flag Ship, The event was enthusiastically celebrated among jam packed audience. Evening functions on the event day drew the largest ever audiences. More than 1000 students participated in the event and even those who have not participated, their enthusiasm and good wishes imparted energy to the active

Ashok Garg was immensely proud of the efforts put into the event, the turnout at the venue and the overall success of the show. As much as the DJ Night pumped up the energy to conclude Youth Fest on a high note with the announcing of overall results. The imperative of this event was team effort.

He blessed all the participants and motivated other students to participate in such kind of events.

Ms. Aruna Bhardhwaj concluded in her words that with the support and guidance of the students we hope to take this endeavour to the highest level of excellence and envisage becoming a trend setter for all other junior students in the region for the coming years.
