Chandigarh 17th July:- आम आदमी पार्टी के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष नवीन जयहिंद ने प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा विवादों में घिरों एसएसएस बोर्ड के चेयरमैन को बहाल किए जाने की कार्यवाही की कड़े शब्दों में निंदा करते हुए कहा कि भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने पिछले चार वर्ष के दौरान इस प्रदेश को धर्म व जाति के नाम पर बांटने काम किया है।

उन्होंने कहा कि एक दागी व्यक्ति को फिर से भ्रष्टाचार के लिए उसी पद पर बिठा दिया गया है जिस पर रहते हुए उनपर न केवल आरोप लगे थे बल्कि उन्होंने इस पद की गरिमा को भी कलंकित किया था। इस पूरी कार्रवाई को अंजाम देने वाली भारतीय जनता पार्टी को ब्राह्मणों का श्राप लगेगा। इस पूरे प्रकरण में भाजपा ने प्रदेश भर के ब्राह्मणों को बुरी तरह से अपमानित किया है। किसी भी जाति या धर्म को अपमानित करने का अधिकार किसी सरकार के पास नहीं है।

नवीन जयहिंद ने भाजपा के वरिष्ठ मंत्री रामबिलास शर्मा से इस्तीफे की मांग करते हुए कहा कि ब्राह्मणों के पैरोकार बनने वाले शर्मा बताएं कि सरकार ने इस मामले में आरोपियों के विरूद्ध कहां एफआईआर करवाई है और उन्हें क्या सजा दी गई है। जयहिंद ने कहा कि रामबिलास शर्मा अगर सही मायने में ब्राह्मण हैं तो उन्हें इस्तीफा देना चाहिए।

PGI Organizes Swachh Indira Colony Campaign Fortnight from 12th July 2018 to July 26

Chandigarh 17th July:- Swachh Indira Colony Campaign Fortnight is being organised from 12^th July 2018 to 26^th July 2018 by PGIMER, Chandigarh in collaboration with Municipal Corporation- Chandigarh, local welfare associations and other key local members in the area. Various activities have been carried out in the area which include cleanliness drive in Indira Colony near railway line, shiv mandir and old Indira Colony; awareness campaign on segregation of waste in ward no 26 and backside of Indira flats; demonstration of swacchta app;an awareness rally was organised in which school children, the President Public Health Development Society, members from samasya samadhan group, school teachers and doctors posted at Indira Colony participated.

It was to create awareness about prevention from vector born diseases and importance of sanitation in general. House to house visits were also done in ward no.26.  Heads of various religious institutes &anganwadi supervisors were motivated to mobilise the masses for lectures on sanitation & segregation of waste to be organised on coming days during the Campaign Fortnight. Monitoring and supervision is stringently being carried out and challans are being issued to the offenders.

Deptt. of Tourism Celebrates 2nd Anniversary of World Heritage Nomination of Capitol Complex

Chandigarh 17th July:- The Department of Tourism, Chandigarh Administration today celebrated the 2nd  anniversary of the World Heritage Nomination Of Capitol Complex with a series of unique initiatives to make a visit to the Complex more comfortable and enriching for tourists.

The Chief Guest for the event Santosh Kumar (Chief Conservator forests, Chandigarh Administration) and Guest of Honour JitenderYadav (Director Tourism, Chandigarh Administration) launched 10 post cards and 5 posters specifically based on the Capitol Complex thus fulfilling a long standing demand of national and international visitors.

In a unique initiative cycles for visitors were launched . JitenderYadav informed that cycles shall be available for adults and children at the Tourist Information Centre to ease the long distances of the Capitol tour.

Considering the rain and harsh sun endured by tourists on the vast plaza umbrellas were also launched at the Capitol. These shall be provided to visitors free of cost for the guided tour.

A tree plantation drive was also organised to enhance the green cover of the Capitol ensemble.

200 Helmets Distributed; Women Appealed to Wear Them for Their Own Safety

Chandigarh 16th July:- Pink Brigade of Nari Jagriti Manch today organised an awareness campaign to encourage women to wear helmets for their safety. During the campaign 200 helmets were distributed to women and appeal was made to them to wear helmets for their safety.

The campaign was headed by Neena Tiwari, president of the Manch, along with others including Ranju Grover, Prem Lata, Pal Sharma. Sudarshan Thakkar and other members.

The Manch president Neena Tiwari spoke to women without helmets and asked them to wear helmets. Women were told that accidents can take place anywhere and it was important to save themselves from head injuries by wearing helmets. They were also made aware through posters.

Ola Signs MoU with Deptt. of Employment, Government of Haryana: To Create 35,000 Livelihood Opportunities in State

Chandigarh 16th July:- The Department of Employment, Government of Haryana and Ola, India’s leading and one of the world’s largest ride-sharing companies, have signed an MoU to create 35,000 entrepreneurial opportunities in the state. The MoU was signed at the launch of ‘Saksham Saarthi’, a part of Hon’ble Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s Saksham Haryana initiative. ‘Saksham Haryana’ was rolled out by the state government early last year to empower the youth of the state through various skill development initiatives.

Rtn. AP Singh is President 2018-19 of Rotary Club of Chandigarh

Chandigarh 16th July:- The Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, V.P. Singh Badnore, asked the Rotarians to find solution to the growing number of senior citizens in the city.

Addressing the Rotary Club of Chandigarh at the installation of the new team of 2018-19 under the leadership of Rtn A P  Singh, at CII on Saturday, V P Singh Badnore said that there is dire need to provide for ‘end of life’ service to the ailing, destitute, and lonely population of the city, and offered to work with the Rotary Club in divising appropriate projects for the same. He said that though large number of NGOs in India do not enjoy good reputation but Rotary, Lions and Bhartiya Vikas Parishad are an exception.

V P Singh Badnore said that though he is not a member of Rotary, he would like to work with you to make the city more livable and also address the problems of the villages on the periphery of the city.

He also complimented the Rotarians for undertaking Rs.40 lakh project of renovating the cremation ground toilets and committing to maintain the same for five years.

Earlier the outgoing club leader Rtn Piara Singh Matharoo presented an audiovisual report of the service projects undertaken by the Club in the city, especially empowering children and women in Saketri village, running Wash programme in the government schools of Chandigarh, and promoting literacy in the pockets of neglect.

Rtn AP Singh informed that very soon the Club would be setting up a Rotary Health Education Centre with the collaboration of the Chandigarh Administration and a partner organization in USA, besides setting up free dispensaries in various parts of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Past Rotary International President Rajendra K Saboo informed that in the 60 years history of the Rotary Club of Chandigarh, it had the honour of having members who rose in the judiciary including two chief justices of India, five judges of the Supreme Court, and many judges of the High Courts.

Even the first President of the Club in 1958 was Mr Justice R.P. Khosla of Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The Club has given to the city numerous projects right from providing the first funeral van to the Rotary PGI Serai, International Dolls Museum, Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Centre (Sector 37), Libraries, Dental Van to Sector 16 Government Hospital, Rotary Vocational Training Centre in Sector 18, and most notable being its Rotary Hearltine project started in 1998, under which lives of 731 children suffering from heart disease, have been saved.

Khattar Govt. Befuddle the People of Haryana by Announcing New Schemes: Ashok Tanwar

Chandigarh 16th July:- Dr. Ashok Tanwar, former M.P., President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee has said that the CM Manohar Lal Khattar Government has become habitual in announcing new schemes every day to befuddle the people of Haryana without caring about the status of the earlier announcements made by the Government from time to time. He said that the information given by the Agriculture Minister to the Media is merely a bundle of lies nothing else.

This was said by Dr. Tanwar while referring to an announcement made by Om Parkash Dhankhar, Agriculture Minister to the media in Chandigarh on Monday regarding a project of “Floriculture” to be started at Gurgaon, He said that the Ministers of Khattar Government are in the habit of making announcements which have no base and are merely “jumlas” to mislead the people. The decision of the Government regarding floriculture was also announced four years earlier but nothing had come on the ground. It is clear that in view of the impending elections, this repeat announcement has been made by Om Parkash Dhankhar. He said that three year earlier in Agro-Summit at Gurgaon, the Agriculture Minister had announced regarding setting-up of “Agro-Fresh” aimed to supply fresh vegetables in the State but that scheme has also not seen the light of the day and has remained on paper only.

Questioning the foreign trips of the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Agriculture Minister OP Dhankhar, Dr. Ashok Tanwar said that under the garb of improving the life standard of the farmers, the foreign jolts take place.  Both the Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister should disclose publically how many farmers have benefitted from their tours of Israel and London in improving the agricultural practices by the farmers. Had these tours done any benefit to the Haryana farmers they would not have resorted to agitations for fulfilling their demands.

Dr. Tanwar said that Khattar Government is boasting to be pro-farmer, but the fact is that the crops of the farmers lie in the markets for days on waiting for sale. If anyway the sale is made the farmers wait for the payment for long time. The case of sale of rape seed crop is a fresh example of the negligence of the State Government towards the farmers. Dr. Ashok Tanwar said that it is a pity that the most tomtommed scheme of crop insurance has not benefitted the farmers of Hayana but it has benefitted more to the Insurance Companies.

Dr. Ashok Tanwar said that the BJP Governments at the Centre and in Haryana are misleading the farmers by jumlas like increased MSP. But the fact is that during the BJP regime, the number of progressive farmers in Haryana has come down drastically and the Government has avoided to release the list of progressive farmers as was done yearly earlier.  The number of progressive farmers had increased considerably during the Congress rule and they were encouraged to adopt new techniques but the BJP Govt. has replaced all this with false and misleading jumlas.

He said that the announcement of 50% plus MSP to be given to the farmers for the crops is just another cruel joke with the farmers as this calculation done by the Modi Government is merely fictitious and misleading. This announcement in fact is just a false promise like other false promises made by the BJP to the people in view of the impending elections.

Brilliance School Honours Grandparents

Panchkula 16th July:- Brilliance World School organized a party for the Grandparents of the school students , in order to honour and appreciate their contribution to the overall growth of children. The presence of grandparents at home leads to gestures of sharing & caring for  children who are brought up in a very happy environment.

Niranjana Chatterjee, Principal  said that at school,  we are trying to inculcate values like tolerance,  and diligence but we see that it becomes a natural attribute when children are being looked after by grandparents , apart from parents. The veterans  shared memories, played Antakshari, and other games. 

The celebration was an attempt to recognize them as individuals for one day, because they are generally confined to their overall family concerns.

Chandigarh 14th July:- चंडीगढ, देश के हर वर्ग लोगों में वित्तीय जागरुकता प्रदान कर भारत को प्रगति के राह में ले जाया जा सकता है। इसके लिये सरकार के साथ साथ न केवल बैंकों, संबंधित ऐजेंसियों, गैर सरकारी संगठनों के अथक प्रयास कारगर होंगें बल्कि लोगों को अपनी अर्जित कमाई के निवेश पर भी सजग रहना होगा। यह मत आज सिटिंजस एवैरनेस ग्रुप द्वारा प्रैस कल्ब में आयोजित ‘इनवेस्टर अवैरनेस इन इकोनोमिक प्रोसपेरिटी ऑफ सिटिजंस’ नामक सैमिनार के दौरान उभर कर आये। सैमिनार के दौरान चंडीगढ व ट्राईसिटी के करीब 120 लोगों ने भाग लेकर निवेश के पहलूओं से अवगत हुये। 

अपने संबोधन मे मुम्बई मुख्यालय स्थित नैश्नल स्टॉक एक्सचैंज ऑफ इंडिया के वरिष्ठ अध्यक्ष सुप्रभात लाला ने कहा कि भारत, विश्व में ‘सेविंग ग्रेड’ की दृष्टि में सर्वोच्च स्थान रखता है परन्तु दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बात यह है कि वे उस पूंजी को बेहतर निवेश व रिटर्न में बदलने में असफल रहते हैं जिसका मुख्य कारण उनके द्वारा वित्तीय सेवाओं की जानकारी का आभाव है। बैंकों के साथ साथ स्टॉक्स, म्यिुचल फंड, बांड्स, मार्केट इनवेस्टमेंट के अनेको विकल्प होने के बावजूद वर्तमान में आवश्यकता है कि छोटे से छोटा, ग्रामीण स्तर के निवेशक अपनी पूंजी के निवेश का बेहतर उपयोग कर सके ।  उन्होंनें बताया कि इस दिशा में एनएसई ने स्कूली स्तर से उच्च निवेशकों के लिये कई प्रोग्राम्स चलायें जा रहें जो काफी सार्थक सिद्व हो रहे हैं। 

मुम्बई स्थित सैक्योरिटी एक्सचैंज बोर्ड ऑफ इंडिया (सेबी) के चीफ जनरल मैनेजर एन हरिहरण ने अपने संबोधन को कहा कि निवेशक स्कीमों में निवेश करने से पूर्व कंपनी की पूरी जानकारी के साथ साथ यह अवश्य जांच ले की वह सेबी से पंजीकृत है या नहीं। उन्होंनें बताया कि निवेशक शेयर संबधी मामलों के लिये सेबी जबकि बीमा संबंधी समाधानों के लिये आईआरडीए की शरण ले सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि सेबी ने आईपीओ में निवेश करने वालों निवेशको को राहत देने के लिये एएसबीए यानि एप्लीकेशन सर्पोटिड बाय ब्लाक्ड अमाउंट की शुरुआत की है और केवाईसी जैसी औपचारिकता को सरल बनाया है । 

नई दिल्ली स्थित सेबी के डीजीएम सूर्य कांत शर्मा ने दुख जताया कि भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम के पास वर्तमान में 28 हजार करोड रुपये ‘अनक्लैम्ड’ है जिसमें से अधिकतर पैसा गरीबों की घाढी कमाई का है। इस अनक्लैम्ड को मुख्य कारण निवेशक द्वारा अपने परिवार वालों को न बताना और अन्य लापरवाही है। उन्होंनें बताया कि निवेशक अपने निवेश की जानकारी अपने परिवारजन को अवश्य दें।

इस अवसर पर नई दिल्ली स्थित एनएसआई वरिष्ठ अध्यक्ष रेणू भंडारी, सेबी के क्षेत्रीय निदेशक सुनील कदम, सिटिजंस अवैरनेस ग्रुप के चैयरमेन सुरेन्द्र वर्मा सहित अन्य विशेषज्ञों ने निवेश संबंधी पहलूओं और सरकारी की योजनाओं पर प्रकाश डाला । 

Thalassaemic Children Welfare Association organized its 176th Blood Donation Camp

Chandigarh 14th July:- Thalassaemic Children Welfare Association organized its 176^th Blood Donation Camp at PGI, Chandigarh under the Guidance of Dr. Neelam Marwaha, Head of Deptt. Transfusion Medicines. The camp was inaugurated by Vipul Dua and Ashok Dua, Director-Peddler, Purple Restaurant Pvt. Ltd. Chandigarh. The Chief Guest honoured the blood donors by giving momentoes. He has also praise the Association for serving the humanity. Rajinder Kalra, General Secretary also thanked the Chief Guest and Blood Donors for donating the blood. He has also requested to voluntarily blood donors and social organizations to come forward for this noble cause and to donate the blood in our next coming 177^th Blood Donation Camp on 28^th July 2018 at Zakir Hall, Research Block-A, PGIMER Chandigarh.

In this Blood Donation Camp 212 units of blood were collected for needy patients. This is 7^th Blood Donation Camp of this summer season, organized by the Association. So far 1831 units of blood have been collected during these camps for the Blood Bank of PGI and GMCH-32.

Every 2nd Woman Suffers from Involuntary Leak of Urine: Dr Preeti Jindal
