Mrs Chandigarh a Woman of Substance 2018 to Be Held: Pageant and Its Auditions Announced

Chandigarh 01st November:- Mrs. Chandigarh- A woman of substance 2018 is all set to be held on December 16 at Park Plaza, Zirakpur. Married women from Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and neighboring towns can participate. Details of this unique and conscientious beauty pageant were shared with media by Neha Julka Arora, who is the winner of Mrs. Punjab- Pride of Nation 2016, and the brain behind & Brand Ambassador of Mrs. Chandigarh- a woman of substance 2018. The event is being organized under the banner of Bombshell Creations. Neha was joined by mentors of the event which included - Ritu Gupta, Owner Kitty Bee mobile App, Dharminder Sharma(IFS), Chief conservator of soil and water conservation, Punjab. Dharminder Sharma is also Founder President of Patiala runners and Chandigarh runners and a marathon runner himself, he is one of the event's mentor too, Parinoor Ghuman, a soft skills trainer, Sakshi, owner of Cove hotel Panchkula, which is venue partner for auditions, Munish Bajaj, Owner Tress Lounge, the Make up partners for the event,  Abhishek Gagneja, Owner Ultimate fitness gyms the Fitness partners of event. Aruna Gulshan Founder and Creator of Aura Studio, a choreographer trained in Latin dance and other hip hop and Bollywood dance and a certified Zumba, F-squad, yoga instructor and a boxer, who is also a Dance instructor was also present for the event.

Neha Julka said that to participate the contestant should have some connection with the cities of Chandigarh, Mohali & Panchkula. Registrations are open online at www.mrschandigarh.com. Any married female in the age group of 18-45 years, can register.  offline registrations options are also there. We will be holding first audition on November 11(Sunday) at F Bar, Sec 26 and the second and last one will be held on November 18(Sunday) at Hotel Cove, Panchkula.

 She added that the glamour filled event will witness shortlisted finalists walk the ramp and participate in various rounds which will lead up to the final decisions. The major rounds include Introduction, ramp walk and question answer sessions regarding general awareness, individual and social lifestyles and beliefs.

Ritu Gupta said that before the grand finale on 16th December, we will hold grooming sessions on December 14-15, 2018. This will include   training sessions for ramp walk, Soft skills,  fitness, motivation, meditation, dance, makeup, social etiquette, table manners etc.

Dharminder Sharmasaid that he feels that the beauty pageant will help in not just providing the participants with a platform to show their talent but also develop confidence in them and polish their personalities. It will empower women. Motivation & social etiquettes will also be part of the participants' training.

Munish Bajaj said that he congratulates Bombshell Creations for organizing the pageant, which was the need of the hour as no proper platform was available for married women of tricity. This would give them an opportunity where they can completely change their lives, become a celebrity and also step into the Glamour Industry.

Mrs. Chandigarh aims to create & empower role models who will serve as ambassadors for world change and to enrich the perceptions of beauty.

Parinoor Ghuman said that through this pageant married women will get the chance to display their expertise in a field entirely different from their mundane work at home and jobs.

The British School Celebrates its Annual Sports Day

Chandigarh 01st November:- The annual sports day of The British School  was celebrated on October 30 and 31 ,2018  amidst the respected principal Mona Sethi, Vice principal Rosy Chaudhary and the reputed administrator Lata Bhardwaj.

The event began on 30 October 2018  with lighting of lamp post which  The Lord’s blessings were seeked by a Prayer Dance performed  by the girls of class IX and X.

A spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized march past by the four houses  Edward, Henry, George and Richard led by the  NSS group rendered the spectators speechless and awestruck. Thereafter the victory torch was lit by the honorable principal. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the oath ceremony. The principal, later addressed the audience with her words of wisdom and declared the meet open.

The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event, was the splendid field displays, involving mass student participation, which splattered on the field. There were races conducted not just for the senior wing but for the primary wing as well. 

The children also prepared some cultural events for the days. The Tinker Bell and Foundation Year I  students prepared a dance which had an involvement of aerobics that not only displayed their love for dancing but also fitness,. The Foundation Year II  and III munchkins prepared a dumbell drill that was filled with energy and enthusiasm.

The children participated in all the races with gusto and the deserving bagged the medal. A different tradition of the school is to award all the participants of the junior wing with consolation prize so that no one goes back home sad. This is done to motivate the children to perform better each time they get a chance. The foundation year students whether winners or participants were given medals. 

There were different races organized for the children of different classes wherein they participated enthusiastically and made the event a memorable one.

On 31 October 2018, races for the boys and girls of VII to XII were conducted in which they performed to the best of their abilities and bagged the medals.

Later in the end was the  Dance performance by the girls of VIII-X in beautiful dresses on the song " Kar Har Maidan Fateh" which brought confidence and rose the zeal of the students to perform well the next time.

Chandigarh 01st November:- दिल्ली के मोहल्ला क्लीनिकों को देखने की चुनौती स्वीकार करने वाले हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर का दिल्ली में अरविंद केजरीवाल स्वागत करेंगे। हरियाणा दिवस के मौके पर चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब में एक प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि ये जनतंत्र के लिए बहुत अच्छी बात है कि खट्टर साहब ने दिल्ली के मोहल्ला क्लीनिकों को देखने की मेरी चुनौती स्वीकार की है। वह तारीख बता दें, मैं उनका बॉर्डर पर स्वागत करूंगा।

अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि खट्टर साहब दिल्ली के ऐसे 3 मोहल्ला क्लीनिक चुन लें जो उनके हिसाब से अच्छे ना हों। और मैं वहां के 2 मोहल्ला क्लीनिक चुन लेता हूं जो मेरे हिसाब से अच्छे हैं। इसके बाद मैं, उनके साथ-साथ चलूंगा। इसी तरह, मैं 12 नवंबर को हरियाणा आऊंगा। मैं हरियाणा की 3 डिस्पेंसरी चुन लेता हूं। और खट्टर साहब हरियाणा की 2

डिस्पेंसरी चुन लें जिनमें उन्होंने बहुत अच्छा काम किया हो। मैं उम्मीद करता हूं कि वो भी हरियाणा की डिस्पेंसरी देखने मेरे साथ चलेंगे।

अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि आज हरियाणा को बने हुए 52 साल हो गए हैं, लेकिन हरियाणा के लोगों की ज़रूरतें आज भी वहीं की वहीं हैं! इन 52 सालों में हरियाणा के लोगों ने इनेलो की गुंडागर्दी भी देखी। हूडा की लैंड यूज चेंज करके पैसा कमाने वाली सरकार भी देखी। अब लोग कह रहे हैं कि भाजपा की खटारा सरकार भी देख ली! लोग कह रहे हैं कि हरियाणा में जो हालात 52 साल पहले थे आज भी जस के तस बने हुए हैं। किसान पहले भी परेशान था, क़र्ज़ में डूबा हुआ था, आज भी किसान क़र्ज़ में डूबा हुआ है। युवा पहले भी बेरोजगार था, आज भी बेरोजगार है। स्कूलों की हालत पहले भी ख़राब थी, आज भी स्कूल जर्जर हालत में हैं। इसमें किसी एक पार्टी का दोष नहीं है! हरियाणा के लोगों ने सारी पार्टियों को एक-एक करके मौका दिया, लेकिन किसी ने भी जनता का भला नहीं किया! सबने केवल और केवल अपनी जेबें भरी!

बीजेपी, कांग्रेस, इनेलो की जाति वाली राजनीति पर प्रहार करते हुए केजरीवाल ने कहा कि अभी तक जब चुनाव में इनेलो वाले वोट मांगने जाते थे तो कहते थे कि हमारी जाटों की पार्टी है, जाट हमें वोट दो। हूडा साहब कहते थे कि मैं जाट हूं, इसलिए सारे जाट मुझे वोट दो। बीजेपी कहती है कि सारे नॉन-जाट उन्हें वोट दो। 70 साल में किसी एक भी पार्टी ने नहीं कहा कि हम स्कूल-अस्पताल ठीक करेंगे, हमें वोट दो। किसी ने नहीं कहा कि बिजली-पानी-सड़क ठीक करेंगे, हमें वोट दो। 50-50 साल से ये पार्टियां राज कर रही हैं, किसी ने इन मुद्दों पर वोट नहीं मांगा। गुजरात में 25 साल से बीजेपी राज कर रही है, वो ये कहकर वोट नहीं मांग सकती कि हमने गुजरात में स्कूल ठीक कर दिये हैं, हमें वोट दो। मध्य प्रदेश में 15 साल से बीजेपी की सरकार है वो ये कहकर वोट नहीं मांग सकते कि उन्होंने स्कूल ठीक किये हैं, इसलिए वोट दो। कांग्रेस सवा सौ साल पुरानी पार्टी है लेकिन वो भी ये नहीं कह सकते कि उन्होंने किसी राज्य में स्कूल-अस्पताल ठीक कर दिये थे, इसलिए उन्हें वोट दो।

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि सत्ता में आने से पहले हम सुनते थे कि सारी पार्टियां बोलती थीं कि फंड नहीं है। सरकार के पास पैसा नहीं है, तो हमें लगता था, शायद सच बोल रहे हैं! लेकिन पिछले तीन साल की सरकार में हमने दिल्ली में जो अद्भुत परिवर्तन करके दिखाए, दिल्ली के स्कूलों की दशा बदल दी, अस्पतालों में इलाज़ और दवाइयां फ्री कर दी, युवाओं को रोज़गार दिया, बिजली के दाम आधे और पानी मुफ्त में मुहैया करवाया! तीन साल में एक बात तो समझ आ गई कि सरकारों के पास पैसा तो बहुत है पर नीयत नहीं है! आज हमारे कट्टर विरोधी भी इस बात को मानते हैं कि दिल्ली में आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार ने जो काम तीन साल में करके दिखाया वो देश के किसी भी राज्य की सरकार नहीं कर पाई !

अपने हरियाणा दौरे का जिक्र करते हुए केजरीवाल ने कहा कि मैं पिछले कई दिनों से हरियाणा के स्कूलों का दौरा कर रहा हूँ! हरियाणा के स्कूलों की इमारतें बिल्कुल खंडहर बनी हुई हैं। बच्चों के बैठने के लिए जगह नहीं हैं! स्कूलों में टीचर नहीं हैं। मेरे हरियाणा दौरे पर टिप्पणी करते हुए पिछले दिनों हरियाणा के शिक्षा मंत्री ने कहा कि केजरीवाल की दुकान का सामान खत्म हो गया है, इसलिए वो हरियाणा में घूम रहे हैं। स्कूल, आपके लिए दुकान होंगे। हमारे लिए स्कूल, मंदिर हैं।

Darkness to Light Campaign by Connect Broadband: Urges People to Pledge For Eye Donation

Downfall of Farmers and Workers is What the Present Government Wants: Naresh Yadav

Chandigarh 31st October:- Indian panchayat organizations Bharatiya Panchayat Party is claiming to form its government with the support of the rural, backward and the youth, after registering a victory in assembly elections of five states. Party National President and the father of the amendment of the Land Acquisition Act Naresh Yadav believes that the present Central and State governments are working in the direction of the downfall of farmers, laborers and backward sections, thus along with the young brains, the country needs a new leadership. In a chat with us Naresh Yadav talked openly about the future plans of the party. Following are the excerpts of the questions related to an interview with him.

Question: Why did you feel the need for forming BPP or what were the reasons that inspired you to form a new party ?

Answer:- Since independence the plight of farmers, laborers, villages and panchayats and backward sections has remain unchanged. The Bharatiya Panchayat Party has been formed for solving these problems.

Question: In which aspects do you feel the Central Government is in the wrong ?

Answer: - From the time of our attaining independence till today, the Central Government has done nothing for providing the basic amenities in the villages. The Central and State government passed several budgets yet the villages where 80 per cent of our population lives, were left far behind in development. Both-the BJP and the Congress governments are responsible for this.

Question: Even today the Aam Admi Party is working to strengthen its hold on the national level. How much time will it take for the BPP in this matter?

Answer: - Like the former parties, Aam Admi Party too has been limited only to Delhi. The party has no aim. The Bharatiya Panchayat Party has the people of approximately 6 lakh and 38 thousand tri-level village panchayat organizations, farmers’ organizations, workers bodies, youth organizations, minorities and Muslim Scheduled Tribes and it is a party of all religions and in the coming elections in five states the Bharatiya Panchayat Party will achieve the status at the national level.

Question: During the time of elections several new parties are formed but soon after the elections these parties get engaged in the search for their existence. What do you think?

Answer: - At the time of elections, new parties are formed in the name of caste and religion. After the elections, they merge in big parties because major parties are working on one ideology, only issues keep changing. Bharatiya Panchayat Party is a party of the whole society. It is fighting elections in five states on the issues of village and national development.

Question: The election atmosphere in the country is such that on one side is the BJP and on the other the entire opposition. Do you feel that the unity that the opposition talks of, is going to affect the BJP in any way because we have seen the condition of the major alliance earlier.

Answer:- The opposition parties have failed to fulfill the role of opposition because many people have deserted the Congress and have been elected as BJP MPs. As both the parties have similar mentality, there is no strong opposition. The country is still very backward in the issues Gram swaraj, development of farmers, employment for youth, wages of workers, women empowerment and education. And to fulfill the role of a strong opposition and for making government of the villages, this time the people of the nation and the panchayats are collaborating and the Bharatiya Panchayat Party has become a strong opposition.

Question: How do you see Amit Shah’s policy of including the opposition leaders in the BJP?

Answer: - The people of same ideology are in the BJP and the Congress and to weaken the country, leaders of both the parties are joining each other. Instead of developing the nation, these forces are working to destroy the country. Due to the similar mentality of both the parties power has not been decentralized since independence. The dream which Mahatma Gandhi ji had seen and the promise of gram swaraj and socialism made to the people of the country has not been fulfilled yet.

Question: Don’t you feel that the Modi government finds some positive things even from the opposition against it?

Answer:- Modi ji has gathered all the unsuccessful people with him. The whole country is watching the outcome of the centralization of political corruption that has happened in the country today. Instead of democracy there is autocracy in the country, the outcome of which former chief justice T S Thakur has lamented about, and has spoken about saving the four senior judges of the Supreme Court. Corruption has reached its zenith evening the CBI. Inflation, GST, demonetization have broken the country’s back. Every hour four students, farmers, youth and workers are committing suicide. The promises made before the people of the country in 2014 have all been proved hollow, and besides this the borders of the country have also weakened. An aspect of international diplomacy is that the American President Donald Trump rejected the invitation for January 26. All these are the positive aspects of the nation’s watch guard Modi ji.

Question: If BPP succeeds in upsetting the BJP- Congress equation, then what will be the party’s next step?

Answer: - Bharatiya Panchayat Party candidates are sure to register victory in the assembly elections of five states. In some states bill will be brought on development of villages on the basis of population, education, unemployment, compulsory education for the farmer, drinking water and in the Lok Sabha elections to contest with those who make false promises, good and true candidates will be fielded to bring them into the Parliament House and a beginning will be made for politics of novel change.

Question: You claim to form the government with victory in the next elections. In case that does not materialize, who will the BPP support?

Answer: - The Bharatiya Panchayat Party will win in five states and will not support anybody. The Bharatiya Panchayat Party welcomes any party which has concern for about the 80 per cent of the population of the country and desires the development of villages, unemployed, farmers, landless, Dalits, tribals etc. with equal rights . One thing is clear that the Bharatiya Panchayat Party will not support anybody.

Question: What plans the party is working on to strengthen itself as there is not much time left for the Lok Sabha elections?

Answer: - Work has been going on for several years to strengthen the Bharatiya Panchayat Party. The party has been working for many years at the level of village panchayats. No government has worked on issues like village development. On such issues the Bharatiya Panchayat Party is there in the villages. The party organization is working in the whole country. Along with the Assembly elections, crores of party workers are busy preparing for the Lok Sabha elections too. Soon Bharatiya Panchayat Party is going to bring a government of youth and farmers.

Question: Will Bharatiya Panchayat Party be seen in the list of major parties in the future? Please keep all the equations in mind while replying.

Answer: - The Bharatiya Panchayat Party will soon achieve the status of a national party and will be a better alternative than the major parties in front of the people. Our party will emerge as a better alternative in the Lok Sabha elections and with these elections Bharatiya Panchayat Party will also achieve the position of a national party.

6th Edition of Chandigarh Cyclothon on November 11

Chandigarh 31st October:- The 6th Edition of the Chandigarh Sports-13 Cyclothon is being held on 11th November & 100 professional cyclists are coming from all over India to participate in this mega cycling event. Chandigarh Tourism in association with Avon Cycles is hosting the mega Cycling event; Sports 13 is the Company which has conceptualized the event. A Media Briefing was held to share information about the arrangements that have been made for the Cyclothon.  Jitender Yadav, Director Tourism,UT, Mandeep Pahwa, Executive Director Avon Cycles, Capt Narinder Singh, IAS, Advisor Sports 13, Yadvinder Singh, CEO, Sports-13 and Kiran Kaur, MD,  Starbiz India Entertainment were present in the press meet. 

Jitender Yadav, Director, Tourism UT, said that Chandigarh is a very cycle friendly city and has cycle tracks made along with the roads covering almost all sectors. These features make the city an ideal locale for hosting cycling events.The main attraction of the event will be the Pro Race, which is competitive in nature and it will cover a distance of 55.5 Km and an Amateur Race (competitive) which will be for 29.6 Km distance and people above 18 years can participate. In the Non Competitive section a 3.7 Kms ‘School Ride’ for School Children above  11 years and a 7.4 Km ‘Fun Family Ride’ for all men & women above 18 years of age will be held.

Yadvinder Singh, CEO, Sports 13 said that the race will start at 5.45 AM and the route taken in both the competitive as well as non competitive segments will be the same. The cyclists will be flagged off from Janmarg (Bus Stop), while the assembly point will be on Jan Marg (Pavement towards Matka Chowk). Before the main event on Sunday, 11 November, an Expo will be held on Friday-Saturday (9^th and 10^th November, 2018) at Leisure Valley, Sector 10 between 10 AM to 8 PM. Target audience for the event will be Youth, Kids, Defence, Senior Citizens, Tourists, Ladies, Corporate and Govt employees, General Public, Businessmen, Elite Families, VIPs, College/ University Students, Club Members and Celebrities.

Mandeep Pahwa, Executive Director Avon cycles said that Avon Cycles is the leading bicycle company in India and at present we are manufacturing around 12,000 bicycles a day and a vast product range with 190 different models for everyone. Avon cycles always takes initiative to spread the message for clean environment through use of bicycles as a means of transportation and we are happy to be a part of the 6^th Cyclothon.

The participants will be provided first aid facility, give-aways and refreshments. The total prize money for the winners is Rs 3 Lakh (for Competitive Races Only). नवीन जयहिंद ने प्रदेश के सरकारी स्कूलों व हस्पतालों की खस्ता हालत पर सरकार को घेरते हुए कहा कि मंत्री, विधायक व सांसद अपने बच्चों को सरकारी स्कूलों में पढाये व बीमारी का इलाज सरकारी हस्पतालों में कराएं |तब मंत्रियो व नेताओंको आम जनता का दुःख समझ आएगा | जयहिंद ने मुख्यमंत्री खट्टर की पोल खोलते हुए कहा कि आज तक इनता कमजोर मुख्यमंत्री हरियाणा के इतिहास में नही हुआ | न तो कानून व्यवस्था सम्भाल पा रहे  है न ही अपनी कुर्सी | प्रदेश में अपराधी बेख़ौफ़ घूम रहे है | मुख्यमंत्री खुद भ्रष्टाचार में लिप्त है | महिलाओं पर हो रहे अत्याचार के 40 हजार से भी ज्यादा हत्या बलात्कार, छेडछाड़ जैसी संगीन अपराधों के केस दर्ज है | सभी विभागों के कर्मचारी सडकों पर है और खुद हेलीकाप्टर में रहते है और जनता के टैक्स के पैसा बर्बाद कर रहें है | जब जनता को सुविधाए देने के लिए मांग की जाती है तो खट्टर सरकार के पास पैसे नही होते  हरियाणा रोडवेज के सर्मथन में जयहिंद ने कहा कि हम रोडवेज कर्मचारियों के समर्थन में पहले ही कटोरा आन्दोलन शुरू कर चुके है अगर सरकार के पास रोडवेज खरीदने के पैसे  नही है तो जनता से चंदा इकट्ठा करके देंगे |  रोहतक व सोनीपत के जमीन घोटाले अभी तक कागजों की फाइल में दबे पड़े है | खट्टर साहब ने खुद कहा था सीबीआई जांच शुरू करवाएंगे लेकिन आज तक सीबीआई जांच शुरू नही हुई है |

नवीन जयहिंद ने कहा कि लोगों ने बड़ी  उम्मीद के साथ भाजपा को वोट दिया था लेकिन इस सरकर ने जनता को कोई राहत नही दी | भाईचारा इन्होने खराब कर के रख दिया | दंगे-फसाद इन्होने किये | खट्टर सरकार सबसे निक्कमी व नकारा सरकार है | खट्टर सरकार ने महिलाओं के साथ अपराध, जातिवाद के जहर फ़ैलाने में , बेरोजगारी की बुलंदियों को छुआ है |

नवीन जयहिंद ने स्वास्थ्य व खेल मंत्री अनिल को घेरते हुए कहा कि इन्हें प्रदेश की समस्याओं के लिए समय नही है इसलिए राष्ट्रीय मुद्दों में व ट्विटर पर व्यस्त रहते है | रोहतक पीजीआई में न दवाइयां है न डॉक्टर है | हर जिले में एम्स खोलने की बात कर रहे थे पुरे प्रदेश में एक एम्स नही खुलवा सके | अपने नेताओं व मंत्रियों को बचाने के लिए अफसरों व कर्मचारियों को बर्खास्त करते घूमते रहे है | हर जिले में व्यायाम शाला खोलने की बात करने वाले मंत्री जी बताये की अब तक कितनी व्यायम शालाये पुरे प्रदेश में खोली है | खिलाडी जो देश –विदेश में प्रदेश का नाम रोशन कर रहे है उन्ही सम्मान देना तो दूर उलटे उनकी सम्मान राशि पर GST लगा उनका अपमान किया जा रहा है | खिलाडियों के  खाने तक पर स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने GST लगा दी | जकार्ता में देश का नाम रोशन करने वाले खिलाडियों को तक सम्मानित नही किया है | उससे पहले कामनवेल्थ गेम के विजाताओं को अपमानित किया गया |

जयहिंद ने अपने कच्चे चिट्ठे में वित्त मंत्री कैप्टेन अभिमन्यु को लपेटे में लेते हुए कहा कि दिल्ली से भी सस्ती बिजली के नाम पर जनता के साथ धोखा किया गया | प्रदेश को सिर्फ कर्जदार बनाया | शिक्षा के लिए नही कोई बजट सरकार के पास | वित् मंत्री जी बताये हर रोज पकड़ी जा रही अवैध शराब कोनसे नेता की है | 

नवीन जयहिंद ने शिक्षा मंत्री रामबिलास पर भी आरोपों की बौछार करते हुए कहा कि प्रदेश में नये स्कूल खुलना तो दूर अब तक 800 से ज्यादा सरकारी स्कूल बंद हो चुके और खुद प्राइवेट स्कूले के फीते कटते घूम रहे है | स्कूलों में न शिक्षक है न बिजली है | हम खुद सरकारी स्कूलों की जर्जर हालत देख चुके है | जेबीटी टीचर , गेस्ट टीचर मुंडन करा रहे है अपनी आजीविका के लिए |  शिक्षा मंत्री बताये की एजुसेट घोटाले के दोषी कहाँ है | प्राइवेट स्कूलों से हफ्ता वसूली कर उनकी मनमानी को खुद शिक्षा मंत्री सह दे रहे है |

नवीन जयहिंद ने भाजपा के किसान नेता  व कृषि मंत्री ओमप्रकाश धनखड़ पर किसानों के साथ धोखा करने का आरोप लगते हुए कहा कि ओम प्रकाश धनखड़ बताये कि वो स्वामीनाथन रिपोर्ट लागु करवाने के लिए दोबारा कब कपड़े उतर रहे है , अब तक कितने कुवांरों की शादी करवादी | फसल बिमा योजना के नाम पर किसानों को लूटा गया | एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार फसल बिमा योजना में किसानों को मुआवजा कम और कम्पनी व सरकार को फायदा हुआ है |जिस गौ माता के नाम पर वोट ले कर सरकार में आये वही गौ माता सरकार के 4 साल बनने के बाद भी सडकों पर कूड़ा खा रही है | मत्स्य विभाग में भर्ती घोटाले कर अपने चहेतों को भर्ती किया गया |

PGI Former HoD Awarded with “Dr. V. R. Khanolkar Oration” of National Academy of Medical Sciences

Chandigarh 31st October:- Dr. Rajendra Prasad, ex-Prof. & Head, Department of Biochemistry, PGIMER, Chandigarh, delivered “Dr. V. R. Khanolkar Oration” of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Puducherry.  This is a prime oration of NAMS in the memory of Dr. V. R. Khanolkar who was the father of Pathology and medical research in India. Dr. Rajendra Prasad delivered a talk on ‘Molecular and functional basis of cystic fibrosis: Genetic, diagnostic and therapeutic implications’. Cystic fibrosis is a severe autosomal recessive genetic disorder of chloride conductance due to the mutation present in the CFTR gene. CF is associated with variety of spectrum of phenotypes i.e. respiratory tract infections, pancreatic insufficiency, meconium ileus and male infertility due to congenital absence of vas deferens. It is very common in European population with prevalence of 1:2500 with carrier frequency in 1:25.

At PGIMER, Chandigarh, cystic fibrosis patients were diagnosed clinically, biochemically alongwith genetic analysis. A wide spectrum of mutations were found. However, DF508 mutation was most common mutation in the Indian population. Identified novel mutations were also functionally characterized to elucidate the underlying molecular and cellular defect. Recently developed magic molecules (correctors and potentiators) were used to restore the functional activity of underlying defect for the treatment of cystic fibrosis. It is worthy to mention here that these molecules are also FDA approved and in use for human clinical trials for the treatment of cystic fibrosis.

GGSCW organizes IT Fiesta: To Promote Awareness of Science and Technology Amongst the Youth

Chandigarh 31st October:- The Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26, Chandigarh in collaboration with DST (Department of Science and Technology), Chandigarh Administration organized IT Fiesta to promote awareness of Science and Technology amongst the youth.

Students from 20 colleges from in and around the city participated in this event. Various competitions like Website designing, Debate, Cartooning, Software Development, Rangoli, Collage making, Software Debugging, Face Painting, Group Dance and e-Waste Modelling were held. Students enthusiastically participated in Presentation designing. There was also a dance performance which symbolized the fusion between technology and entertainment.

Dr. Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University was the Chief Guest for the event. He notified that it is the time of Artificial intelligence but do not let it overpower you. He motivated girls to excel in a versatile manner. S. Gurdev Singh Brar President SES, S. Kulbir Singh Vice President SES and S. Karandeep Singh Cheema Joint Secretary SES were the Guests of honor for the event.

S. Kulbir Singh was there to inspire students during the Valedictory Ceremony and gave away the prizes. He congratulated College and Department for organizing such an event and stressed on the importance of such competitions. College Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of Computer Department and encouraged students to participate in such events to excel in all fields of life.

Nirwana Greens organises Mission 666: A Mission to Plant 666 Trees on A Single Day

As a part of their responsibility, Nirwana Greens organized “Mission 666” a mission to plant 666 trees on a single day at Khanpur Village. The Objective of the plantation drive was to provide natural shade by increasing the green cover which will help in reducing heat and improving air quality. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Nishi Bhatnagar, DGM, SBI, REHBU, LHO, Chandigarh. The Guest of honour were RJ Meenakshi & RJ Geet from 94.3 My FM and MJ Vishesh from 92.7 Big FM. There was a huge public participation to support the cause and people planted trees for making a green tomorrow.

Sumit Goyal, MD, Nirwana Greens, said that Nirwana Greens has always been committed to social responsibilities and taking this commitment to the next level we organized ‘Mission 666’ for planting 666 trees on a single. Normally we have seen that the trees are planted but due to the improper care, they die. We will take care of all the trees planted by us and aim to plant 20,000 trees till the year 2022.

This increases the pollution and hence causes a lot of problems for people amongst us. Tree Plantation is one of the most effective ways to curb the ill effects of pollution.
