23rd August:- The Chandigarh Housing Board has constructed 62605 residential
units and 4386 commercial units till date. A ground and field survey
of all the residential and commercial units constructed by CHB will be
conducted by considering the need based changes allowed till date. The
physical survey is to be conducted for external violations and for
encroachments as well as misuse of premises only. However, in case of
residential and commercial units having any additional storey’s and encroachments
on Govt. land, the internal violations for such units shall also be noted
down. The survey of all the residential and commercial units is to be
completed by 31st August.
Till the completion of
the said survey, all notices, to all allottees, under various sections, at all
levels, shall be kept in abeyance. No fresh notices shall be issued
during this period and all hearings fixed during this period i.e. from today upto 31st August
shall accordingly be deferred to dates beyond 31st August However,
appropriate action as per rules will be taken by Chandigarh Housing Board in
respect of any fresh violation.
