MCM organizes Music Talent Hunt

Chandigarh 08^th August:- The Music Department of MCM DAV College for Women organized Music Talent Hunt to recognize and nurture the exceptional talent of its students.

The competitions saw enthusiastic participation of over 70 students in various categories, enthralling an audience of over 500 with their melodious renditions. Distinguished alumna of the college, Simran Chaudhary of ZEE SA RE GA MA PA fame and Paramjot – best vocalist of the college were the judges. In the first year category, Namita stood 1^st while Surbhi and Khyati bagged the 2^nd and 3^rd prizes, respectively. Kirandeep came 1^st, Pankhuri 2^nd and Amandeep 3^rd in the second and third year category. In the Music (Instrumental) category, Ritika was adjudged First while Himanshi came second. Shweta bagged 1^st position while Ravneek and Meenakshi stood 2^nd and 3^rd, respectively in non music students’ category.

Principal of the college Dr. Nisha Bhargava appreciated the endeavour of Music department to provide a unique platform to students to showcase their talent and encouraged students to utilize these exceptional opportunities to further their aspirations.
