‘Ola Share’ Now in Chandigarh:Enables Up to 50% Savings on Fares

By Tricitynews Reporter
Chandigarh 23rd September:- Ola, India’s largest transportation platform, today announced the launch of ‘Ola Share’ on its platform in Chandigarh. Ola Share enables economical fares and reduced congestion, since a ride can now be shared by up to three people at any point in time. Customers benefit from up to 50% discount on cab fares. Ola Share makes urban transportation economical and efficient. With better utilisation of vehicles on the road, many more cars can be taken off the road every single day. This will go a long way in making our cities cleaner and greener by reducing pollution and congestion on road. All of Ola’s security features like Track your Ride, Share Ride Details, SOS, Emergency Contacts, 24x7 Customer Support and Number Masking are available for users on Ola Share.
Chandigarh is a key market for Ola as it has the highest per capita vehicles in the country and is increasingly facing problems of traffic jams and lack of parking space. With over 86% of citizens owning a car and 11 lakh vehicles registered in the city, there is a compelling need for shared mobility in the city to enable a sustainable transport solution.
Raghuvesh Sarup, CMO & Head of Categories at Ola said that we are thrilled to bring Ola Share - India’s most pocket friendly and decongestion friendly ride-sharing service to Chandigarh. The city is amongst the 100 cities chosen for government’s ‘Smart city mission’; and hence, a smart & sustainable commuting solution like Ola Share will play a major role in making the existing transport structure stronger. Raghuvesh further added that shared Mobility also has far reaching benefits - less traffic congestion on roads which means you and I will spend less time stuck in traffic, and do more productive things instead. Also, with Ola Share, the same convenience of a regular cab ride at a much lower fare means access to mobility for many more commuters, furthering our mission of building mobility for a billion people.
