Republic of Korea to Open First Consul General office in Chandigarh

Chandigarh 21^st December:- Ambassador of  Republic of Korea H.E. Cho Hyun, will be visiting Chandigarh for Three days from December 22-24 , 2016 in connection with opening of republic of Korea’s Consul General  office in city beautiful and announcing appointment of First  consul general .

Ambassador Cho Hyun accompanied by Mrs Cho Hyun during his three day visit will apart from opening of Consul General  will also be visiting various other institutions and business facilities in Tricity in a bid to further strengthen cultural, educational, business and investment relations between republic of Korea and India especially in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.

The opening of Consul General office in Sector 9, Chandigarh will provide limited consul assistance in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Union territory of Chandigarh. Ambassador Cho Hyun will formally announce appointment of Mr Jagdip Singh as First Hon Consul General of Republic of Korea in Chandigarh.

Ambassador Cho Hyun along with Hon Consul General Jagdip Singh will be visiting various institutions and tourists spots in Tri-city including IT Park Chandigarh, Infosys Technology Park, Net Solutions Campus, Panjab University to meet Vice Chancellor and to address and interact  students on ‘The Efforts of South Asian Countries in Maintaining Peace in the Region’. The ambassador will also visit the famous Rock Garden and Rose Garden in the city beautiful.
