Jagmeet Singh Brar Releases TMC's First List

By Tricitynews Reporter
Chandigarh 05th January:- Ending speculations about TMC's electoral plans Jagmeet Singh Brar released the party's first list of candidates - Former Minister Dr Harbans Lal from Fatehgarh Saheb, Begum Parveen Nusrat from Malerkotla, Former MLA Vijay Sathi from Moga, Prof Manpreet Kaur Brar Rajeana from Baghapurana and Giriraj Rajora from Balluana (SC)
While Jagmeet Singh Brar did not confirm how many seats the TMC would contest from he said that we made repeated appeals for joint candidates where the movement was weak but now there is no further reason to hold back much stronger overlooked candidates and in the coming days we will announce more names.
Party sources have confirmed that a team of central election observers from TMC has been appointed under the supervision of National Vice President & Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Roy and that Mamata Banerjee will campaign for TMC candidates in the coming days.
After AAP Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal backed out of the pre-poll alliance talks with the TMC, Jagmeet Singh Brar termed this development as "an immature self goal" .
He said that we patiently tried till the last minute for the alliance to happen, but it is unfortunate that Arvind Kejriwal has deserted Mamata Banerjee and clearly buckled under the pressure of Modi's vindictive attacks on Trinamool. AAP has abandoned a common platform for short term gain and all he can say that better now than later.
He added that if Arvind Kejriwal wants to play to the insecurity and immaturity of a section of his party then that shows the conflicts and out of control inner politics of AAP's Punjab unit.
Jagmeet Singh Brar also countered the statement of Kejriwal where the latter had said that there had not been any talks between the AAP & TMC and said that for a leader of his stature to make false statements is very unfortunate and uncalled for. He will not open a Pandora's box for Arvind Kejriwal by sharing details of our discussions with AAP because we believe in political civility but he ask him to watch Sanjay Singh's speech & press statement of 22 Dec from Sanour. He suggests AAP leaders should match their stories before making such statements.
TMC sources have confirmed that Mamata Banerjee has taken a very serious view of this false statement by Arvind Kejriwal and that she will respond at an appropriate juncture.
