New Delhi 10th February:- Bank of Baroda, Corporate
Office organized an All India Seminar on “Demonetization and Digital India” in New Delhi. The seminar
was inaugurated by Dr. Bipin Bihari, Joint Secretary, Official Language Dept.,
Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI, New Delhi. The inaugural session was presided over by Ashok Kumar Garg, Executive
Director, Bank of Baroda. General Manager of Delhi Zone, Ram Kumar Gupta
welcomed the guests and participants of the function. The Executives/ Officers
of various Public Sector Banks participated in the seminar.
On this occasion the bank
also released a compilation of select articles based on the previously
conducted “Rural Marketing and Banking Business” Seminar in the form of a book.
Participants made presentations on topics such as the impact of demonetization
on economy, a curb on blackmoney, expansion of alternate delivery channels,
cashless society etc and participated in the deliberations and discussions.
The sessions of the
seminar were chaired by General Manager of Bank of India Mritunjay Gupta,
General Manager of Oriental Bank of Commerce -Charanjeet Singh and Ex-Director
of Indian Railways (OL)-Vijay Kumar Malhotra. The seminar concluded with the
key note address by Leeladhar Mandloi, Director, Bhartiya Jnanpith, New Delhi.
Overall program was co-ordinated by Dr. Jawahar Karnavat, Dy. General Manager,
Bank of Baroda.
