Pearl Academy Strengthens Collaboration with FDCI for Enhanced Learning Experience for Its Students

Chandigarh 09th July:- Taking forward its collaboration with FDCI, the apex body of fashion designers in India, Pearl Academy, India’s leading institution in design, fashion, business and media, plans to  strengthen learning experience of its students through a series of programs and events over the next few months.
Providing students with the relevant industry exposure has always been Pearl Academy’s priority. In line with this purpose, Pearl Academy collaborated with FDCI, the apex body of fashion designers in India; 2 years back to nurture and develop the designers of tomorrow. Theenhanced learning experience includes, Setting up of a Designer’s Club with10 leading members of fashion fraternity under which designers will mentor and inspire a group of students from Pearl Academy -. This event which will be held in Pearl Academy’s campuses and will provide a platform for mentoring and counseling the students by the industry experts on various aspects on the fashion industry. Idea Generator will be an event hosted by FDCI with fashion experts (designers, editors and stylists) where students from Pearl Academy will participate to delve upon new fashion ideas and future fashion trends. These forecasts will be presented to the industry at the annual show of FDCI - India Fashion Week. Brand Moods will be a live & interactive web series where 3 senior designers will talk to Pearl students about their journey from being a label to becoming a successful brand.
In continuity of the association over last two years, Pearl Academy’s graduating students will continue to showcase their best creations at FDCI’s India Fashion Week.
Commenting on the alliance, Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said that he is delighted to take forward our association with Pearl Academy to the next level. Our collaboration with the institute aims to provide students with the knowledge and expertise which goes much beyond the campus environment. Through one to one interaction with renowned designers, the students will get an opportunity to understand the operational aspect of the fashion industry keeping them abreast with the evolving trends. This will open up a plethora of options for them within the fashion domain. He is glad to be part of the process of nurturing young talent who will define the future of fashion and design in the coming years.

Through this initiative many more students can get first hand advice and experience with some of the great designers of India.
