09th July:- VR Punjab organised a Kids' Carnival which aimed at
fun and productive use of the summer vacations. The carnival was preceded
by a 'Champ’s Camp' for 20 days and workshops for the students included
Dance, Music, Art, Cookery, Theatre, Science, Photography and Pottery.
The carnival also included a Father & Child drawing competition which was
big hit with the families in attendance. To support and promote the learning
process and make students' sensitive towards the environment, Punjab Pollution
Control Board (PPCB), contributed by organizing a Slogan writing and Painting
competition where the winners were given bicycles. The ‘Champs’ were
entertained with a movie ‘Peter Rabbit’ and renowned kids' favourite
‘star planetarium’ during the carnival. The teams of 'Super Bheem' and
POGO channel visited VR Punjab to celebrate the birthday of kids' favourite
animation character ‘Super Bheem’.
Jermina Menon, VP Marketing, Virtuous Retail, said that we
are thrilled to host our most important VIPs at the recent 'Champs Camp
& Carnival' held at VR Punjab, where over 250 school children participated.
Under the Connecting Communities initiative, like all of our hosted
events, this carnival will now be a part of our annual calendar were students
and their parents can combine fun and learning together in a secure environment.
